ya im gonna go with Ekoston.. i have a few threads with ppl saying its way to pricey and sh*t like that... ya maybe Ekoston has no life and likes to sift out threads but when i have a question about my skyline... he always as an answer... and for CDguy... once you have a thead trying to sell stuff and people say dumb sh*t when your selling... it doesnt help the seller AT ALL... im with Ekoston on this one... and CDguy maybe you should buy a skyline then maybe u can talk sh*t about stuff on here... like really ppl like CDguy are F*cking up this hole site.....

like really i love GTRC where i can talk freely about skyline and not get made of fun or put down because i dont know something... but this site is slowly going down hill with all the hate like sh*t how about we talk about skylines help eachother out and stop all this bullsh*t.....

#2 doublejceballos bought the car, didnt put work into it. reo and timo the previous owners put all the work into that car.

#3 im talking more about the useless **** *see above* in forsale threads or the chatter that keeps bumping threads and pushing others down that get nothing and the OP of that thread cant bump for 5 days so his thread goes down the drain and out of sight.

I give positive comments when they are called for. I know many westcoast members and have been part of the local Skyline scene for a long time. I constantly get PMs and calls from other members asking me to help them out or give advice, which I am more than willing to do.

It's only recently that I've noticed a big drop in the maturity of the GTRC members (comes with younger kids buying these cars, since they are very easy to obtain these days) and don't come on here very much anymore.

And when I do, I have to read threads like this with people complaining left and right, people bashing each other all over the place... or read tons of mis-information being spread around the community.


Anyhow, I'm done with this thread. As long as the MODS allow posting in the FS threads, I will continue to add my $0.02 when I feel necessary.

EkostonS - Once again, it IS a good idea. That's why I agreed in the first place. Everyone else needs to calm down

When I said I'd ask the guys what they thought, I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant the other MODs, not the general pop. And guess what? Most of them agree so far. It's not you guys that have to spend HOURS every day sifting through useless, needless, junk posts, editing and trying to make the general feel of this forum a friendly, and helpful one. There is absolutely NO NEED for general members to post in another members FOR SALE post. If you don't like what the person is selling, close the page. If you like it, or are interested in it, or want more info, the site makes it very easy to fire off a PM to the seller.

If you want to know if the person you are buying from is trustworthy, either check out his/her iTrader rating, or maybe ask him for referenses you can contact yourself. But, just like EkostonS pointed out, the rules are pretty clear.

It's not anyone's responsibility on this forum to take anyone down a peg. If someone is asking 6k for a rusted-out, stock GTS, then let 'em. Are you going to buy it? Is anyone on this forum going to buy it? It's not your responsibility to monitor and regulate prices, quality, or any other such thing.

I agree that sometimes there are some helpful, useful, or otherwise acceptable posts, but when weighed against the two to three pages of "yo that's $ick dawg!!111!!!!1!" and "bump" it becomes a little redundant.

CDGuy and Falcon, please relax. You took a suggestion from another member very personally, and went WAY too far.

Falcon, if you want to comment on the social status of our other members, I'll give you some time off from the site to work on your own.

There is way too much post whoring going on lately... and it's not only in the Skylines FS section.

There are quite a few forums that have taken away commenting in for sale threads. It takes too much time to delete pointless posts by kids who know nothing, or just trolling. On my local car forum (LowMotion.org) they recently added back comments but took them away previously just for that reason.

Basically people should follow common curtisy "if you have nothing good to say, dont say it at all. especially if you cant afford it"..


as far as commenting on a seller and saying he/she is trustworthy, you should have a Buy/Seller feedback section.

when someone sells something, start a thread in that section titled their user name, then post what was sold, if it went down good or bad.

I will attest to this as I've only met him 3 or 4 times briefly, and I've called him about my car... my brothers Jetta (as he's an ex V-dubber) and contacted him about RX7's on several occasions. He even handed out his password and username so I could browse RX7Club.com for research and forsale ads.

I'm sure he's made some comments that are out of line here and there, but we all do. I know I have, and I bet I could search almost everyone in this thread and pull up a post that could be taken offensively/the wrong way. I've even been surprised by some MODs posts before (only once or twice, but still).

I know of lots of places that close FS threads to comments. I think if we all act maturely and don't post whore, I'm sure we could all just get along.
