Works on every vehicle I've driven except for a RHD Ford mini-van in England.

Lol, yeah, that's pretty much how I've been doing it!

With all the differences, I do understand why they want to ban RHD but they should make conversions to LHD cheaper so we can keep our cars when it hits the fans in the next few years, like quebec.

The thing with LHD conversions is that they can be very cheap. If you do it all yourself, using used parts

I don't even want to think about how expensive it would be using new OEM stuff, with the work being done at a $90.00 an hour labour rate.

I bet someone would have to make a fiberglass dash if everyone wanted to maintain the same looking dash for most cars, or else cut the hell out of the stock one which would make it look goofy. I've noticed with a lot of the cars out of the middle east, the r32's in particular look really weird, as the gauge cluster and all of it's switches and knobs prevent the vents from pointing at the driver, and what have you.

Oh well, I don't think this RHD ban will spread. Canada doesn't want to join Quebec in saying that the rest of the world is stupid because most of the planet agree's that LHD in a RHD country and vice versa is fine. Hell, the country that we seem to have stolen most of our automotive related laws from has no issue with RHD cars, and they're the most powerful country around! Silly Quebec, didn't you get the memo? America is never wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

        edit:
        With all the differences
I've never seen what the big difference is between sitting on the left or the right, it's a difference of like 3 feet

Same here... I have had my learners for 3 months now, and driving the rhd is really easy, I prefer it to lhd actually... Shifting is easy since I have not learned different and the turn signals is easy to get used to, although I found myself hitting the "invisible turn signal lever" to cancel my signal after changing lanes. 110km/h feels a lot faster in a low little car compared to a truck, I also found myself dropping down to 80/90km/h just so I can give it back up to 110 and get that little bit of boost
I love the car, easy to drive too

Keeping your car will never be an issue, just like Quebec is now...

Your currently registered cars will always be grandfathered. The trick now is to register and perhaps store whatever car you may want in the future. (I'm looking at self-importing about 3-4 GT-R and Legacy RS clips, or "cut" cars...)

Since clips and cut cars will never be limited in any way (just parts), you could basically keep any particular JDM car going indefinitely.

The tricky part in Ontario, and other provinces with private insurance, is that it will probably become much harder to get insurance, and God help you if you are young, with little experience!

If you are "older" , with a good record, even the no-hope last-resort Ontario "Facility" insurance is only about $120 a month for a Skyline with collision and a 12k appraisal.

^^ That is why I love sgi (saskatchewans provincial insurance). I got a quote for about $90 a month with no discounts and no driving experience... I have heard of some people paying $400+ a month on their skyline in ontario though

I get raped with a near full 40% discount in BC at just under $200/month.

Then again that's ALL I pay for registration and insurance each year. My license is $70 every 5 years. Plates are $18, once. And you get the $18 back when you return them. I heard Ontario people paying some registration, plate fees, license fees etc annually that add up quite fast.

Because I have daily LHD car and on good sunny days I would drive RHD car, sometimes I would automatically go to the right side of the car realizing that my wheel is on the left side lol. I find it amusing so no complaining. Anyone have that?
