The day that most of us are waiting for, thats for sure. I had the pleasure today of viewing an R34 and it really got me thinking again...I've been on the fence over the last few years about buying a 32 and making it nice, or save up my pennies and torture myself until 2014 when I could do the 34 route.

Who else is waiting for the 34s?

this is basically a pointless thread...Im just wondering, with just over 11,000 units made, how hard is it going to be to get? and what are the prices projected to be?
    Victory is on the horizon..

I'm in the same boat as you, man. I'd love to have an R32, but the 34's are just... well, they're the 34 lol. I was wondering what the prices were gonna look like too. But I would DEFINITELY love to get an R34 if I could

no BS: I'm not looking forward to seeing the hordes of r34 gtt's driving around. It's different with the r32 and r33, since the lower models still look cool I think. But the R34 gtt just makes me shake my head. They look so...

        ಠ_ಠ

edit: I suppose they look okay with some GTR parts on them, though. Maybe a front bumper, nismo side skirts and what not. Still, though.

Prices on R34s will not go down, they are still worth over $40K in Japan. This will create a different kind of owner, as it will be out of the price range of many I think.
I'd love to have one, but I'm very content with my R32

I think it will be out of the hands of ricers for a while..but prices of the 32 and 33 will drop even lower and become even more accessible. This could be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective.

Well Im looking at it as, when the 34s hit, the 32 prices will hit rock bottom cause 9 out of 10 32 owners I know are sitting on them until 2014, then selling. So many cars will be for sale, prices will drop to make sales, and we will have R32s being even more popular than slammed civic hatches with roof racks. I personally will look into finding a bone stock R32 GTR in the mean time, and try and look into a 34 if the situation comes up. A good friend of mine has a plan a'brewing, so we'll see what comes from that...could be an owner within the next 5 years.

You mean the prices of R32's now isn't rock bottom? Back in 2005, BNR32s were selling in the low to mid 20's

I'll definitely get one when they are legal...but I don't think I'll sell the R32 for it.

To be honest, I don't think there will be alot of R34 GTR since it is a whole different market than the R32. There are not much people willing to pay $40k for a 15year old used Japanese cars. However, there will probably be shxt load of GTT rolling around with GTR kit/conversion just like the R32.

Yeah it's a tough one, I picked my R32 up for $18,500 in mid 2006. If I got a 34 I'd have to drive it in the winter. I'm not into the beater 6-8 months of the year while the Skyline gets the garage and I scrape the windows again. That being said I'm not sure I want to drop 40k on a car that’s 15 years old. If they are still 40k in 2014 it's gonna be hard core rich enthusiasts. There are a lot of nice older cars to be had for 40k.

Well, those who were unable to afford an R32 will have a harder time affording an R34. As long as I keep in line, my wife allows me to do things, like get another sports car i'll wait for the second year of them so there's more choices. I don't need to talk about getting one cause then it sounds more like dreaming.

I can safely say I will not be getting an r34, as much as i'd like one, I want an s15 more.

Prices for the R34 will eventually drop, just like the rest of them. IIRC, when the BNR32 first hit our shores, they were selling at around 30k for decent examples.
