Have you notice a difference with or without your sound deadening hood cloth ??

it does keep condensation from dripping from your hood to engine on winter mornings.


I have a lot of polished parts in my engine and i found that removing the cloth was a dumb move as I had to constantly remove water marks.

i've actually had thoughts of removing mine today cause it leaves so much dust in my engine bay

Never had mine in the car since I bought it. Never noticed anything detrimental. No paint fade or bubbling. Engine isn't terribly lound but don't know what it sounded like without it so I couldn't give you and accurate comparison.

Leave it, Does it REALLY cause you guys that much grief? Back when I owned a Skyline I dropped the hood and it hit the battery terminals causing the car to blow a main fuse. Much bigger pita.... I then replaced the liner.
