Got some sweet advice for you. the carbon drive shaft, for the $2000+ of a genuine one, you can make more power elsewhere with that cash. Aluminum shaft is about $800USD. As for the forged 2.8L, you'd need over $60k to properly use that engine. Lots of guys on here still have stock heads and 2.6L while safely making over 500whp. RB30 is the way to go if you don't mind giving up the higher revs. My car's budget was very high and I still couldn't afford to build a car to use the 2.8L potential. The best way to go is RB30. RIPS sells them, used, not built and can handle 500hp for less that $7000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For 7grand you can make an rb25 make 500hp with stock internals(including price of the motor trans set, mine proves that. For 7grand in upgrades starting from a stock motor you can make a reliable 700 hp engine.

Step 1: Sell my twin turbo setup.
Step 2: Buy a stock rb26dett from a JDM shop.
Step 3: Swap my rb26 for the stock rb26.
Step 4: Sell my r32 gtr in its stock form (remove all aftermarket stuff)
Step 5: Buy a mystery chassis (not an s-chassis)
Step 6: Fit my rb26 into this mystery chassis. With a big single turbo.
              Call it a day!!!!

Yes it will take a lot of cash, that's why it will be a semi slow process. I got 3/4 pieces of the IC piping kit from a member at a STEAL of a price. the HKS suction kit is about $900 isn't it? And it also contains the 4th piece for the IC piping, the piece on the hot side, from the turbos to the piece in the frame.
