Im trying to determine which ebc to buy, Ive noticed in another thread Frankie and a few others are running EVC-S' but they seem to be complicated. Originally I decided on the SBC but now im not sure which one would suit my application best. Im on the stock turbo now but in the future if I want an external gated set up the availability would be nice. If anyone has some experience with either of these any input would be nice.

Personally...I'm gonna be ordering a blitz SBC type R... dual solenoids have beenproven time and time again to be more accurate and able to handle higher boost a lot better. also the blitz is super simple to use and setup and its compactThe SkyLife Community & News Website --> http://www.skylife4ever.com

I wouldn't get an HKS, personal choice. They look cool but I prefer to set a duty, gain and be done with it. The blitz SBC works good. I never really found an immediate difference using twin or single solenoid.
But if it were I, look into the Profec B spec 2 it is a nice unit. I personally love love love the profec type S. So simple and works awesome. You can usually pick them up rather cheap now too.
Most standalone users can just buy a $20 3 port mac solenoid and have boost control for $20. Best method.

Thanks everyone,
Im more or less settled on a single solenoid just due to price and that im not running insane boost levels, nor do I plan on running high levels.
Archaeic_bloke, the SBC does sound best just for the reasons you stated.
But does the EVC have some features that make be a good thing to have? Such as response which i believe the hks has?
I have considered the Profec B as well just because its so popular, but its also almost $100 dollars more on the site im looking on and is it worth it?Jesse

I have a Blitz ID-3 SBC and I LOVE IT, super easy to use and works exactly as it should all the time. My favorite features are the peak hold (it displays the highest boost you've reached and automatically clears it 3 seconds after) and how easy it is to switch boost maps on the fly. It looks pretty snazzy as well, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.Last edited by needavdub; 11-29-2010, 11:56 AM.
