GTR diff in a gtst i believe needs:

    1) GTR diff + diffhead(?)
    2) GTR axles
    3) GTR hubs?

The gtr axles are massive compared to the gtst ones, and the diff has a 4.11 ratio compared to the gtst's 4.365 (i think, number is around there)

If you're after a much better rear end with slightly longer gearing (good for highway cruising), or if you still want the epic short gearing of the gtst, run a smaller diamer wheel/tire combo to compensate for the taller final drive. The GTR rear end setup does not make the wheels sit slightly further out than the GTSt setup. I was wrong and now beg for forgiveness.

gtr rear end wont make the wheels sit out any further because the control arms are all the same length

If someone wants to do this as a DIY job make sure you do the following steps.

Check preload on the Pinion & Axle bearings
Check runout on the ring gear
Check the ring & pinion backlash
AND lastly check the contact pattern by throw some water based paint on the leading & trailing edges of 3 or 4 crown gears then rotate the pinion gear while applying some pressure to the yoke. Do a half turn forward and backward... check the paint for positioning of the pinion gear and repeat all steps until everything is within the proper specs.... no body wants to ground off teeth!

            Derk and M13:

But doesn't the GTR subframe have the control arm attachment points spaced out a little farther? A GTR has a wider track than the GTS in the rear, it has to come from somewhere.
