Innovation to the degree where function is so visibly purposeful that it is undeniably beautiful in every aspect.

I was looking the other day and i said. Man if i didn't have my cars. i would have so much extra cash. But then i thought. What the hell would i be doing if i didn't have my cars.

Cars bring my friends and i together, its a conversation starter, and i overall makes me happy. Its a fun hobby for me

                  ^^^ Same
I have looked back a few times at all the money I have spent on cars and car related things and for a brief moment, it is disheartening.
I then feel fine though when I come to realize that cars are my only passion and have been for many years now. Without them i'de be very bored.

yeah, adding up all the money you have spent is usually a bad idea. I somewhat did the other day and was thinking of all the cool stuff I could have instead. Im sure it wont matter next time I get out on the track.

labour of love, enables you to extend your abilities beyond what you can normally do, its amazing to see how each part you add/tweak to your car effects it at the track.
Also the peace of mind you get when you drop the hammer and let boost take hold of ya . All worth it for those pure moments... Yup I am an addict.

And naturally the bonus bits... chicks, good friends, conversations etc...

facination for the pure mechanical orchestra playing under the hood. i work 7 days a week 10 hours a day on pisten bully snow cats and when i get off work all i want to do it turn wrenches on my own car. mechanics is an obsession, not an addiction or a hobby or something to fill time or a place to dump money, every moving part in your car was obsessed over by an enginier at some time and i feel the same sence of accomplishment when i look at my car parked in my underground as im sure any of the enginiers that worked on the project felt when that first car they helped design rolled off the assembly line. why we love our cars so much is a question that in my opinion cant really be awnsered simply, you love what you love because you love it. when boost starts to hit and the tires start to scream, when everything you spent hours labouring over with your friends starts to make you grin without realizing it, pure unbridled excitment with every turn of the crank. here i am on coffee at work and cruising the forums haha, i love it because i love it!
