When in doubt just call your local police department, they will gladly answer any legality question for you and even point you towards the exact law.
I dont know why people are so afraid to call their local police department, it takes two seconds and you get your answer.R32 GTR FULL SERVICE MANUAL DOWNLOAD:

Straight from the Chief of Traffic Bylaws mouth:
"As there is no specific law citing that operating a motor vehicle without a hood on is a violation, law DOES state that the vehicle must be maintained within manufacturers specifications while operating on public roadways. This COULD include having the hood on. So it's dependant on how your driving and where your driving to that would determine whether or not a Peace/ Police Officer would write a citation in relation to this. But most likely an officer would kinda think it's strange but nothing more."
So basically if your driving like an ass and drawing attention to yourself would determine if you'd get pulled over and given a ticket.
You gotta pay to play.

As far as I know you the main issue comes down to having working windshield washer sprayers, and those are on the hood on our cars. So unless you relocated them, thats where they would nail you, might be considered a safety device.

The requirement is that you need to be able to prevent a passerby from sticking their stupid fingers into your fan and belts (or anything else that can remove them). As long as you do that you can run hoodless as long as you want.
You think they give street-rod guys any grief over this............noooooo.
Jon.Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.

I'd wait till you had a hood. Waited throughout winter, what's a little longer to drive it. We (RHD) already have a bad image if someone makes a stink haha. Then again, I run with style, not barely run.No build thread.
