I would have called the police as daryl said, i would then have restrained him from touching your vehicle and waited for the real Police to arrive, explain to the real officer what just happened and ask to have him charged . You had enough witnesses present by the sound of it. He can ask you to remove the plates , he has no rights to do it spontaneously causing damage to your vehicle .

As far as i know , the only thing they have the power to do is give you a vehicle defect notice and demand you get an inspection. They are not mechanics and do NOT have authority to judge the road-worthyness of your car on the spot.

That pic looks like a decat pipe , it's not a cat. So it looks like the guy was right .

Although I do totally agree with those two views, it also works the same for white people too. Long story short, my friend's mother who is white, 5' tall, frail, thin and 70ish years old was beaten inside her own home by a police officer who did not have permission to enter her home. He hit her after she was reaching for her phone to call 911 because this officer was in her house. There was a court case, he was found guilty, suspended with pay, and back on the job the next month. Worst part, they made her sign an agreement that she would not go to the media or release his name. It makes me sick to my stomach what happened to her.
So it's not just against visible minorities, police nonsense can happen to anyone.

The first picture you posted looked clearly like a test pipe. I'm not surprised the Environmental people thought so too.

I understand Daryl and I feel for your friend mom but untill you are born brown, black or muslim you will never know what kind of **** we go through day in and day out. The best way I can explain this to you would be telling you a assault by a police officer story similar to what happened to your friends mom.
Middle eastern dude was cleaning his gutters and him and his wife, both very good friends of mine, were talking loud cause he was outside and she was inside. Now im not gonna argue that two foeigners yelling in their own language sounds normal, but some people decided that he was yelling at her and they called the cops. Two Officers shows up with my friend still outside and on a ladder and they start hounding my friend to admit he hits his wife. He says i didnt the women confirms it and the steriod loving freak of a cop decides shes lying and asks my friend to come down the ladder. He says hold on cause hes got crap in his hand from the gutter so he decides to kick the ladder. Guy falls on the cop and now my friend is serving two years for assault on an officer. Although there was a video of the incident, people who witnessed it, and my friend was also injured the two White officers word that he "managed to twist his body so he can harm the peace officer with his body" was accepted.

So ya Daryl there is no way white people face the same **** as we minorities do.

Well that cat looks pretty restrictive , mines about twice the diameter as that (oval shaped) and the catalyst substrate has larger holes in it . Is that the cat that comes on a gtr r32 ? Maybe its partially blocked .
