You can try jb weld or some sort of putty. Are you trying to say you used a thread tap and it punctured the tank?

We didn't have the MM thread tap, so we used a inch drill and it was too big. ( Well.. we didn't have the proper drill bit for this and since we didn't really care and wanted to finish the job now.. we did it with what we had in hand)

The two part syringe kind, my experimental apparatus started failing because the epoxy at the joints started to soak up moisture and delaminated. Didn't have that problem going with high-endurance silicone (the fishtank stuff, it's good to 150°C and stays elastic).
