  • How would you seal a washer fluid tank?

    My friend and I tapped a windshield fluid tank and its too big hahaha.

    what would you take to seal/fill it up?

    You can try jb weld or some sort of putty. Are you trying to say you used a thread tap and it punctured the tank?

      We didn't have the MM thread tap, so we used a inch drill and it was too big. ( Well.. we didn't have the proper drill bit for this and since we didn't really care and wanted to finish the job now.. we did it with what we had in hand)

          ^^+1 for epoxy, love that stuff, works for everything

            -1 for epoxy, it delaminates when it soaks up moisture. JBweld is the better choice.

              "Fast weld 10" epoxy. Best stuff on the market compared to jb weld

                  +1 for JB weld, seen someone make a head gasket out of the stuff on a Detroit Series 60... Worked for 300k km.

                        The two part syringe kind, my experimental apparatus started failing because the epoxy at the joints started to soak up moisture and delaminated. Didn't have that problem going with high-endurance silicone (the fishtank stuff, it's good to 150°C and stays elastic).
