It must be 15 years to the day(litterally, if its a Nov build you will have to wait untill then). And if it is, score!!! You can fully import it and be able to sell it here. No need to re-vin, the car would just register under its origional vin. You could get up to $40k or $50k for it depending on mods and condition. A Ford nut here would pay big cashola for something as rare as that.

    Jon.
Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.

    1990 GTR Drag Special T88H34D 11.24 @ 127.55mph at only 1.2bar...... officially. SOLD

Haha oh sweet. I'm not moving over untill next year anyway so It'll be all good. It's currently just a shell getting repainted in a deep colour changing purple and a rebuild and turbo build on the engine. Basically everything on it is being custom made. Mmm that 4L straight six turbo goodness! I bet it still wont be any match for your GTR though, That thing looks like a beast.

With the wick turned right up on race fuel she's a hoot and a half. I run even with litre bikes and a certain GSXR1000R with a full pipe kit, K&N kit and a power programmer.

I've read enough builds on the Ford turbo 6 to know that they can put out like a drunken prom date too. You can blaze the tires at will at pretty much any speed with some of the bigger builds. Mountains of low end torque like a 500+ cubic inch FE motor.....whooot!

Damn that's nice. Maybe when i move to Canada next year I could come over and see your beast? Not that many people outside NZ/Australia know about Falcons so I'm surprised you do. I'm just going for a small 300rwkw build for now so my T5 gearbox can handle it. I don't really want to switch out to an auto so I might save up my coin and do a T56 gearbox conversion since they're ment to be able to hold quite abit of power, And I'll get an extra gear out of it . Even though Falcons have alot of torque I'd have to say I enjoy my R32 alot more since its like driving a go-kart compared to the falcon

If you think an r32 drives like a go kart I'd hate to see what the falcon actually drives like. Because a go kart an r32 is not. It's a pig.

I don't know what R32's you've been driving but my one handles very well. The point I was getting at was the fact that from the factory Falcons are so damn high off the ground and roll around like a boat. My R32 sticks to the road like **** to a blanket and its alot lighter compared to the Falcon. In a straight line it keeps upto stock skylines though so I can only imagine how It'll be once a GT35 turbo is slapped onto it.

Gearboxes are rated in torque (dyno's measure torque and convert to hp via formula). Can run more torque than the design limit, but lifespan is shortened. Also avoid slick tyres (semi slicks, slicks), hard launches without locking up drivetrain, as that usually makes the stock gearboxes, etc on most cars fail (excessive drivetrain shock).

Aftermarket gearboxes (expensive option) can handle up to around 900nm.

Yea. You can tell they handle like pigs buy how much success they've had in racing and are a weapon with some massaging and a reasonable driver.
A little heavy? Yes. A pig? I strongly disagree except if you're using in a tight autoX. Then I would agree a GTR is out if its element.

Here in BC it costs virtually the same for you as an individual whether the car has 100hp or 1000hp only the value of the car pumps up the premium, even then you might pay $1300 a year for a Mustang but only $500 more for a Bentley. New drivers pay more but it goes down as the years pass without accidents.

Because my GTR is a toy that only gets insured for pleasure use I pay $331 for 6 months....not as cheap as you guys (that is stupid cheap, by the way) but quite livable.

                      Jon.
Honestly when i was starting to get insured in ontario they asked me what my high school grades were like. If i had had 90s instead of 80s they would have taken an extra 200$ a year off my insurance cause because i'm a "responsible teen". They just wanna take you for all you've got here in ontario. I don't even live in a busy area and i was still blindly quoted 4g a year for a skyline.
Sorry for the crying in a thread about someone coming over. The falls are nice, the sky wheel is kind of boring though. Marine land is worth checking out too, its so dead in there you can go on what little rides they have with no lines.
