Hey guys, my 89 r32 ate a ceramic exhaust impeller. When I dissassembled my rb26 the cylinders are scored to badly to be repaired and I also found 7 visual cracks from the head studs to the coolant jackets. It had a balanced rotating assembly, ACL bearings, manley rods and cp pistons. The bearings are all still like new as are the rods and crank. Pistons are obviously junk. I sent my head out but after inspection I found out there is too much ceramic imbedded too deep to be repairable. I have priced options of n1 block, head, and all the other parts that need replacement and am at a point of weighing the options of buying a used rb26 out of an r33 or 34 as it would probably come with trans and lots of odds and ends I could sell to recoup some investment. The pistons, block, head and machine work would be in the same range as buying a used unit. I guess I'm looking for opinions from you guys, and any known very reputable used jdm engine sellers you guys know of. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
