Recently was pulled over north of bellevue washington for speeding. I was following a new Dodge Charger (nice looking car btw) when we both got hit. Not serious speed doing about 85 in a 70 zone. Anyways the cop walks to the left side, looks in and Hey I'm not there, than walks over to the right side and asks me if i knew how fast i was going. I reply "not really, i don't have miles per hour on my speedo and was following the guy infront (pointing to the charger he also pulled over) He looks at my dash and takes my license. Comes back after a few minutes and tells me "100kph pretty much equals 60mph, you were doing 87mph in a 70 zone." Than tells me to stay put.

Okay, now i'm thinking i'm screwed. He's got my license and told me to stay put. Yikes...

After a bit i see him ticket the Charger (who pulled away right after) and walk back to me. Than he says

So what type of car is this? Whats it top out at? Quarter Mile time? Where did you get it? Can i see the engine? Is it hard to drive a RHD? :roll:

a few of them get the speedometers converted. ive seen a few cars with only km/h get the speedos converted. they change the gears or something on the speedometer.

ok so I got one from the carwash yesterday. I'm rolling in to the carwash looking for a spot and this guy vacuuming out his grand prix stops me and starts askign me retarded questions. The follow ensues.

guy: yo dude does that thing have the vtech motor?
me:(thinking oh god here we go again) are you serious?
guy: yeah man does it have the vtech?
me:uhh no thats a Honda thing
guy: ohh man thats too bad my buddy had one of these and he had the vtech motor installed, it was sooo fast
me: what? why would anybody put a honda engine in a skyline?
guy: so yours doesnt have vtech
me: no it doesnt have vtech
guy: are you going to get vtech installed on it?
me: no thats stupid
guy: man i used to have a 240sx, soo this is like a step down from taht right?
me: no this is basically the king **** of nissan
guy:(finally notices its rhd) oh so you brought this over from England eh?
me:(sigh) no from Japan, uhh im gonan go wash my car now...

I always look forward to the next time someone busts out a stupid question or comment. I gives me something to laugh about. I always get the classic, Is that from England?, Is that legal?, and for some reason the uneducated cant believe its 15 now 16 years old.
A couple of my favorites, Both from last summer:

Pull up to a stop at the lights in a left turn lane, 2 other lanes to my right. Older White haired scruffy guy stops beside me and after 5 seconds I hear him say loudly "Thats F*&$d up". I dont pay any attention, then he says directly to me "Is it hard to get used to?" I look over and reply "No not really". I get my advanced green and make my turn.:-o

Leaving work after my shift one day, me and fellow employee's are walking through the parking lot to our cars. One non car enthuasist dude sees me approach my car.
Him: Is that your new car?
Me: New to me anyways.
Him: Its nice.
Me: Thanks.
Him: Hey, your steering wheel is on the other side!
Me: Yeah, I didnt notice that when I bought it!
Him: Yeah, I could see how you might not notice that!!!
Me: :-o then then :hit_head:
Me: No dude, I knew the steering wheel on the right side. Its a Nissan, from Japan.
Him: OH
He was embarassed, turn around and kept walking. I couldnt believe he thought i was serious.
Man, I cant wait till she is out of storage.

My skyline has a VCT motor in it. Thats kinda like Vtech.

His job includes ferrying people up and down river for a local logging company. It takes about an hour each way, so the conversations have to be interesting. He's a car guy, and as usual he got into a car discussion:

Some Guy: "So, have you seen that red and black skyline in town?"
My Friend: "Uh huh"
Guy: "Yeah, that's mine.. I only take it out in summer."
Friend: "Really?.. The one with the carbon hood, and gold rims?"
Guy: "Yeah.. it's pretty cool."
Friend: "... I just installed a sub box into that car yesterday. It's NOT yours."
Guy: "..." *walks away, and says NOTHING the rest of the trip.*

I was driving through Prince George BC last year and my passenger was reading the newspaper and had it all folded out covering his side of the car, people were actually swerving away from the car as I drove around town.
I'm just glad there were nobody crashed.

I was left confused..then a random girl drove past me and proceeded to yell at me while i was not paying attention....

here's one of my stories that it was late saturday afternoon I was going for diner with the inlaws and wife so I was to go Deerfoot Tr while I was on the way with moderate toheavy traffic a young kid in a 180 rhd wanted to race in the traffic ( good way toget several tickets at once or the police call you about your driving), so when I pulled of to Glemore he looked angry. What a goof.
