I love all uninformed comments. I never turn down the opertunity to inform, unless the person is being an ass.(ie "you bought this landed? you got ripped off. I can get one for $8000" to which I answer "Do me a favour and use the $8000 for brain surgery")

Another good one I heard at a car show I was in. Had a short list of some of my engine parts in the window. Guy reading it says to his girl friend "Man, this guy has spent at least $100 grand on his motor" LOL

Well, I was going to add that I had her right there on my engine right in front of him, but I thought that would seem like bragging.

I'd hardly call what I did childish. I don't want retarded teenage kids hanging around my car. Plain and simple. Things may be different where you live, but around here kids have nothing better to do with their time than screw with other peoples ****. This isn't something I do all the time. If I see a group of kids around my car that I don't like the looks of, I'll either query the car so it flashes the lights and beeps a few times, or just set it off for a few secs so they'll walk away. I've been fortunate enough to not have my skyline tampered with yet, but I've had my previous cars vandalized and and several cars that im friends with have lately as well. For example, my friend with a highly modd'd CRX comes out of his place the other day to find a nice mugg of starbucks coffee poured all over his hood.

Im a level headed person. Have you ever had your property or possesions vandalized or stolen simply because you had something nice? You might understand if you did. There's a reason I have the level of security on my car that I do. I don't laugh at what other people drive, I don't brag or really show off my car at all. Im actually a very friendly person when it comes to those asking about my car (until they pull out a retarded statement).

During the course of owning one, I've met a lot of nice people, I've also met a lot of idiots too.

Setting off the car allarm is not a childish thing to do, hes right kid these day have little respect for other ppl stuff....I had the guy living across form me call me at like 2:00 am and say there were kids hanging around my car(on my yard). That in it self may not sound that bud but seen how i live in a sorta remote area u have real think as to what the **** they were doing. Any ways the ran a way at the sound of my phone ringing, i was think tho if they didn't i might have sneaked out there with my Bokken, not to hurt them but just to scare them

As for ppl been silly ppl there been a few ppl say "Yea i hear u can hock that car up too a laptop and get like XXXhp". As to where that came form its off the discover CH they had a show called world greatest car and there was one on sports car and the skyline was on there. any ways where was some uninformed ppl on there, and one owner that they talked to had a stand alone in hiscar, any ways uniformed ppl+ bad editing= big time inaccuracies.

lol, i live in winnipeg... highest car theft and arson rates in the country (not sure where we rank in vandalism but like everything else, it's high). the second year that skylines were in the city, slightly over 1/3 of them had insurance claims.
i just keep a crow bar by my door and the alarm pager somewhere easily accessable. if i dont catch them on foot (i run about 4km/day) then having the keys to the skyline in my hand will definately be useful.

I'm only 19 and have owned my car since 17... guess it just sort of bugs me when people lump teenagers into one general "badass" catagory.

sorry about my post last night, i was tired and this thread kinda bugged me ops:

the most anoying thing I come across is people on forums saying 'they know of a guy...'

                          either
                          a) somehow found a way to sell GTR's in the US
                          b) somehow has an S15 or R34 etc
or c) heard somewhere that XXXX import company was bad, and personally knows the people in question (when they dont, and dont realize that every shop/importer has dirt on them, but usually its not the companies fault, and they are a 3rd party anyway, so who cares what they think)

I guess here in Hamilton we have a different breed of import moron... one of the biggest questions I get is " I bet you race this thing all the time on the street?"

uhh... yeah.. stripped intereior and a roll cage in a Skyline instantly makes it a street racer... I can see the confusion there...

I do get the common "where's it from?" isn't it illegal?' sorts... but why does everyone automatically think ALL Skylines are 800HP monsters? or they are ****.. I've had that a few times
I had one guy I worked with who owns a beat up Corrado 1.8l turbo that barely ever works... tell me he would spank me all day long ONCE he had his car running

ppl seem to see our cars as some sort of threat to thier manhood or something... but I love it when I drive past a really nice clean Integra and give them the thumbs-up and they smile... that pretty cool Not all ppl are jackasses... but there still are too many out there
we have found the replacement for displacement grampa... we like to call it technology

A homeless guy was asking me yesterday if my car was British, he probably assumed that because I'm English. I felt sorry for the guy and gave him about $5 I had layin around.
