I think you forget that Skylines were never built over here! So dont expect too much from people who have been used to Chevrolets (Cracked, Heads, Every, Valve, Ruined, Oil, Leaks, Every, Time) and Fords (Fix, Or, Repair, daily) all there lives.

As for kids and the alarm thing thats actually a good idea! I once came out to my car one Saturday morning to find a slice of F*CKING PIZZA splattered on the windscreen! CUNTISH!!... I bellowed, upon finding it! So yeah i'll use that alarm one! Lol!

I was showing buddy pics of skylines on the internet the other day, and he said "why dont you just get a left hand drive one?" so i said "they never came left hand drive." he went on wikipedia, looked them up, found an 07 v35 skyline and proceeded to rub it in my face that "all skylines come right hand drive." Hahaha this is great. My boss at work found out i own a skyline and he said his truck is wayyyy.... faster than my car and i said no... i dont think it is GT-R's are qite quick. He said ya, well what kinda engine you got, I told him is a twin turbo 2.6L inline 6 and he said it was tiny and his truck is faster. So i asked what kind of engine his truck has "I've got a v8" so i was in the mood to argue lol so i said "just because its a v8 doesnt mean its more powerfull" and he said "ya i have 8 cylinders and you have six6... more power" hahaha

I live in an apartment building and we have this long parking lot in behind the building. I had just got mine plated and I was heading out for some cruizing. When I was getting into my car, the old man who parks beside me persisted to argue with me that my car was illegal and that I should no better and what not. I just let him think what he wants and pulled out and started to drive out of the lot. At the end of the lot there were some kids who flagged me down so I pulled over. The one kid, swear to god he was maybe 10, he was a smart cookie.
Kid: Nice Skyline
Me: Thanks, Just got it.
Kid: That's like the GTST model right?
Me: *Dumbfounded that he knew there was more than the GTR* uh......Kinda, GTS4.
Kid: Cool. So does it have a turbo? I know one of the T's is Turbo.
Me: uh....Yeah, it does. Crap you know your skylines for a half pint.
Kid: *laughs* Thanks

Lol, while I'm not an official part of the skyline club yet I can relate on a few notes. I drive an '03 Mitsu Eclipse with about 210 crank HP (From the factory) and I've had people who try and hold it up as some sort of benchmark. I'll state this right off the bat: It's a beautiful car but its slow as balls compared to a lot of sports cars out there (Has a really fat ass). Fortunately there are some people who underestimate it as well. One day at a stoplight here in Nan a late 90's stock and banged up looking cavalier pulls up next to me at a light. Seeing as I was already as far into the intersection as I could get without being right over the white line I glanced over to see who would try and get ahead of me. Saw it was some 20-odd-year-old and looked away before he thought I was sizing him up. But of course this guy had a bone to pick, so while we're waiting for the light to change he starts revving the hell out of his little 4-banger and tries to catch my eye. I just shake my head and when the light turns I went into first in a normal start, not even trying to drag. He tries to take off and I realize that even with a regular start he's barely keeping up with me halfway through first gear. I just listen to his engine and watch him get all the way up to halfway through 3rd before I even hit 2nd (He was shifting way early, even for a cavalier) and when I popped it into second I just looked over at him, grinned and floored it right up to the 90kph speed limit. Left him in the dust until he caught up about half a click later and did the old ricer fly by...

once i got my car i drove it for the next 7 days before it snowed and they started sanding and salting the roads so i didnt get to long to have many dumb questions asked but the most common one is "whats it like driving on the right side of the car?" which is not a bad one. id be curious to and i admit when i first jumped in i drifted over the line quite a bit but within a hour i was doing good. the next thing people ask is if its illeagle to drive a RHD car. everybody i see either has an expression of confusion cuz they dont know what it is or their jaws are on the floor cuz they know what it is. but everybody seems to like it so far. my cousin tried convincing me to not buy one a few months back but thats only cuz he grew up in the late 70's and 80's and spent his teens in my garage with my dad restoring mopars. after his first ride (when it wasnt running right) he became a GTR believer. my dad wants to sell his 450 HP SRT-8 charger cuz he thinks my car is faster and more fun! my bro has a 03 viper and even he has to admit that my GTR is right up there in the list of the funnest cars he's ever driven.
