        a guy i know does this at his shop, thankfully he's out of business.

        A kid comes to him for a sr swap in a 240sx, he's never done one before, he's seen me do several. He takes 7500$ from the kid for the motorset and parts(ic etc, all knock off ****). Puts the motor in, throws a manual boost controllor on it, no boost gauge and cranks the boost controller all the way down(same one i, andy and bruce have). DRIVES it to a buddy's house because he doesnt know how to time the motor, then precedes to beat the piss out of it. Turbo goes 3 days later when the kid is driving the car. The kid comes back and demands a new turbo, so the guy i know cant get in touch with the motor supplier and starts slandering his name all over the internet.

        Shops like this disgust me, eventually everyone finds out about these people and they go under.

        I say get everything they promissed, do not pay for service and be done with them.

        Good move on the rev limiter, When somone else is driving the cefiro i load a new rom file into the ecu, I call this DAD mode. Works great, they hate driving the car because it wont rev past 3000rpm and has a speed cut of 65km/h

          see donk_316 bought a Bee*R Rev Limittor a few months back, i betcha he is happy with his investment. whenever i go to a shop my lower limit is always 3500 and its hidden under the dash...

            Yeah Andrei i did turn it down but whos to say he didnt crank it back up.

            I meet with the shop today at 5pm. For now all i can say, is that if they dont agree to my contractual terms, there will be legal action.

            I will post again tonight to clarify what is happening.

                        Just got home.
                        They signed my contract and will do the following:
                        Install and provide new alarm (which is done now and the reason the car was there in the first place)
                        Change oil and filter
                        Complete interior detail
                        Tank of proper fuel
                        600 bucks
                        Pay any tickets incurred at the time
                        Pay for full vehicle inspection and repair anything that is wrong as the car just HAD its inspections completed.

                        They agreed to my terms if i didnt press charges or slander them.

                        The bad news...
                        The car wont boost at all. Goes from vacuum to 0 and stays there.
                        Clutch pedal engagement is an inch or two off of floor.

                        They WILL be fixing it. The point is though, i shouldnt even have to be doing this. What a bunch of ********.

                            Yeah daryl it could be as simple as low clutch fluid and a loose hose.

                              sounds like they did a few drag launches and the turbo went.

                              they must have beat the piss out of it to do that type of damage.

                                this kid is a moron

                                I found out about my car getting driven while at local GM dealership(not going to name them) to get my belts all replaced when i first got her. I got mad but i would have snapped if they took it for as long as you got yours taken! Mine was a few minutes in a small ass town ahaha. My friend phoned me wondering why 2 weird looking people with coveralls were rippin in my car(my stomach fell THOUGH the floor!). i cant imagine how you feel. GOOD LUCK!
