Kid has not been fired and has not been charged. The only person in this entire ******** situation who can charge him is the business itself... who, if anything, is protecting this kid.

For the record, the business are all owned by the same guy AUTOTEMP AIR AND SOUND in EDMONTON, CALGARY and EDMONTON.

Unbelivable. Definitely sue them till they're on the sidewalk. That's the most unporfessionnal buisness owner I've never seen. definitely time to f* up their reputation too. I know that if that would have happened in quebec, a very big show would've been interested in that story. Anyways, sue them for damage, stress,etc.. and don't forget to claim them the lawyer's fee too. And if they've signed that little paper of yours, they're bagged. It's a contract, simple as that. Breach of agreement.

That is brutal.. autotemp had a shop out here in the lowermainland awhile ago.. but it was a joke and it shut down pretty quick.

They "offered" me $2,500 bucks to fix the car as they "couldnt see how" he could cause that much damage in "only" 600kms...

I suggest bringing a lawyer, and trying to settle out of court.

the obvious legal fees sky rocket once he has to pay for two lawyers battling.


I suggest buying a beater car, and on the inside of window have a sign saying "so and so company blew my motor,turbos,and clutch while they drove my car on the weekend for fun and wont pay for 11,000 worth of damages."

This is really unbelievable, Donk. Like Shawley, I am a MECP certified car audio installer as well, and the poor bugger that runs my shop as well. This is TOTALLY unacceptable practise.

I worked for the Calgary north location about 8-9 years ago, it was a pretty good place to work and the GM seemed like a pretty good guy.

They did protect there employees pretty well i guess as much as can be expected.

I just read this thread and boy, you surely got violated on that. Better do everything you have to do to get compensated for what they did since we are talking not just an individual but a business entity. Sue them if you have to.

first i would call the cops and report the kid, and the shop, then bring it to the BBB, all in all the i would prociqute to the full exstent of the law,and not to mention your alarm issue should be fixed free of charge,

i feel bad for you man that just messed up... cops are lazy as hell though. I had a couple grand of stereo stuff stolen out of my car and i know who did it and i went to the cops and they just said " sorry there is nothing we can do if he says he didnt take it".

This is why Shop's have Insurance and if your Lawyer didn't contact them directly, your insurance company would have had to.

This is a scary situation....I hope it turned out well though.
