  • Feedback from AMS brake pads??

I'm running the AMS brake pads ( on special this winter) on my GTR for 2000 km now. I would like to heard what other member have to say about these.Because i'm not quite satisfied with them and would like to make sure if it's me or maybe my rotor or something else.

What do you not really like about them?

I've been running them this season aswell and I have no complaints. I havn't got a chance to check wear, but other than being a little noisy (which I'm pretty sure is normal for the material they are) I'm very happy with them for the price.

Mine are squeally when they warm up, but that's not too surprising. Other than that, I like them; good feel and predictable bite.

Actually, I bought these brake pads this winter because I didn't like the squealing on my previous pads( Don't know the brand) but they still had like 5mm left on it. And after 2000km i found that they squeal more than I was expecting. When you try to go low-profile and everybody hear you braking..it's not super

Excepting that, I can't really comment on the braking performance because I don't track or agressive street racing.

all the performance pads i've heard squeal... mine (don't know the brand, they came from japan quite thick) when they're hot they can put to shame the STM buses

If you dont want the squeel dont get a performance pad. Ear plugs are cheaper than new pads. This is kind of like buying a hummer and complaining it uses too much gas.

The Nismo pads on my GT-R don't squeal at all

Sorry I don't have any feedback on the AMS though, but squealing is a common trait of high peroformace pads.

I just wanted to see if it's was normal or maybe I had a problem else where.

I also heard that HAWK make a pad that don't squeal.

My Hawk HPS pads make the most unholy wailing when they get hot.
