  • Noob turbo question

When it comes to an Rb25DET turbochargers, is there a difference between an R33 and an R34? Is one better than the other and would one or the other be a better upgrade for an RB20DET?

The coolant fittings are the same if you have a turbo from a 5speed car and going to a 5 speed car. If its off an automatic the coolant lines are smaller. For the r32 33 turbos.

Also if u get an r33 turbo make sure you get a series 1 turbo. The series 2 turbo has a plastic compressor wheel that can't handle over 12psi, where the series 1 turbo with steel wheel can handle 1 bar no problem.

The neo should bolt right up but its much much better. It's made by garrett, ball bearings, and steel exhaust wheel. So yeah much more superior

or if you want to go for lower end garrett turbo, great turbo's at a much lower price have a look at these. I have sold quite a few and havn't heard anything bad about them. They are 25% off as well as all the accessories until january 28th.

So are these China turbo's, or are they made elsewhere? I still don't know if I've got the cajones to put a China blower on my car

from my understanding from godspeed they are second run garret turbos. Just turbo's that get pushed through a million at a time with generic housings. Where they are from, be it china or where ever i couldn't tell you. But for less than half the price of a authentic garrett i'd give it a shot. Like i said i've sold quite a few of these already and havn't heard anything bad about them thus far. Next build i do on a car i'm slapping one on to see how they work first hand.

Do any of these turbos have the stock 6 bolt RB20\25 exhaust flange?

No they don't. Flanges are sold separatly and custom down pipe is needed. Nothing more than a trip to the local exhaust shop to make it all work for you.
