1995 R33 light upgrade

you can mod projector headlights on any car . Ived used G35 , FX35, RX8, BMW, TSX, and lately new altimas and maximas using D2s or D2r

AFAIK any aftermarket hid kit will work in the R33 as long as you buy the right lightbulb size. I think the R33 is a 9006 (?). You will need to drill a small hole in the back of the stock bulb cap to run the hid wires out to the ballast. Pretty simple, and all kits come with a rubber gasket to make it look clean after install.

The oem projectors will aim the lights towards oncoming traffic though, so expect a lot of highbeam flashes your way

What kills me is how cheap hid kits are these days. I've seen kits sell for $60. Back in the day when they were new to the market and everyone were using replacement drop in blue PIAA halogen bulbs to replicate the "look" of hids, I bought a Raybrig kit for $1200 at Super AutoBacs (FML).

your probably right about the bulbs, i cant remember and if im wrong than it means im mixing them up with a previous car of mine

Stock R33 lamps are H1's. Exactly what I used in my 33.

Anyone with pictures of their AM HID's? i know Rise has them on sale..

I don't know If I should do retrofit or just AM HID made for my car..

ived retrofit with fx35.g35,g37,rx8 , i like fx35 the best output with stock ballast and d2s

I have the DDM tuning 6000k 55w kit on my R33. It's ridiculously bright. Lights up all the signs for about half a mile down the road. I can get pics once I'm done installing my turbos.
