Seems like QFM A1RM or Lucas brake pad could be very good for the street but I need to find a retailer in Canada or USA or else shipping from AUS will kill me.Need detailing done to your car? I'm open to travel to detail your car :

Tire Rack have the best prices I can find on Hawk pads.
I have used both HPS and HP+. If you are doing street driving HPS are good. Minimal noise and dust. They will not cut it for track use. HP+ are best for autox and short track stints. They make tons of noise and dust.1989 Skyline GTR

people think there is a magic formula for brake pads,
there isn't
brake pads are like tires in a way
-you want harder braking, they will last less longer
-you want more initial bite, they will make more noise
-you want them to handle higher temps, they'll make more dust
there isn't a perfect pad, like tires its all about compromises
you decide what caracteristics you need, then choose your pad accordinglyLast edited by frankiman; 12-31-2010, 12:48 PM.

I know this frank. I'm just trying to find a little compromise between each Dust for me is not a problem. I will clean them lol. I'm more looking for something decently priced,OK at lower temps. Anyways.. I will keep searching a bit.Need detailing done to your car? I'm open to travel to detail your car :

I use the Nismo S-Tune, they are a great street pad, no noise, and also bite hard even at high temps on the track. Dust is decent, but definitely there, but you can't really get around that. I've eaten them up after 3 years on the street and 6 race events, so they last fairly long. I'm putting a set of Endless Type R on now, so I can compare later this year.RightDrive Inc. Parts Manager

HPS
I think i'll likely go with those again for my street/track setup as after 20 min last season and 1 terribly long braking straight, i had almost no padwear and still consistent brake feel. Even sponginess was at a minimum when i pulled off.. Although, i am running stainless lines and ATE, but a stock setup would benefit for sure. HP+ are ok, but not if you plan to keep your rotors for more than a year - they're a much harder compound and will eat up your rotors pretty severely. I wouldn't suggest them with drilled discs. Tylers rotors are cracked, much the same happened to frank.
HPS with cleaned rotors (turned or new) will provide a good long lasting and affordable alternative to expensive race pads, and still provide a grippy, consistent brake feel with minimal fade..
Oh, Also this is on my HCR. GTST is considerably lighter so need to take that into account. My car on the track also weighed approx 1200 kg with me in it. Fully loaded GTR will surely be over the 1500 kg mark. Both brake setups on HCR/BNR are typically the same if you discount the slight brake disc diameter and width.
I picked up my HPS pads for about 140$ each.. Talk to Haig!Last edited by nelsonmxmarc; 01-04-2011, 09:26 PM.Check out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!

I have used EBC green, red, Yellow and Hawk HP+ on the track with my Subaru WRX before. They all suck LOL. Non of them can last more than 10 laps before fade. I manage to get the green stuff on fire lol. Warp my rotors pretty good. Subaru Calipers that I had was similar to GTS-T ones which were 4 and 2 pot and made of cast iron. The brakes were finally good enough after I switch to BBK.
I use Hawk HP+ for the rear brakes because they were pretty cheap. It does get pretty dusty though. They felt pretty good for the street.
How about Ferodo Ds2500 or DS3000. I have never tried them. But it seems like the Subaru guys are swear by them. The DS2500 are street performance pads and the DS3000 are race pads btw.
You also need some good brake fluids. I tried MOtul RbF600 and was not too happy about them. The ATE Superblue racing on the other hand is way better and also last longer.Last edited by Harvey; 01-05-2011, 05:56 AM.10 Infiniti FX35
