Damaged thread on rear subframe (hicas mount)..help

    Or even better if u can find a one is a Re-threading Kit/Thread Chase kit.
    If u can access the rear of the hole, rethread/tap/chase the hole from the backside. But remember you only have 1 chance to get it straight with a tap/chase. After that a goof up will become an adventure.

        Im trying to remove the subframe bushings but theyre a pain even with a torch!I'll get to that after.

            This exact situation happened to me last month. But I stripped the hicas link when i was spinning it out of the Hicas pump thing. It went crooked and i just kept screwing it out and the threads got stripped.

            I just went to canadian tire and bought a metric tap and die kit. I used a M14 x 1.5 Die... which in your case you need the tap. Then i returned the kit to Canadian tire and got my money back.. lol

            .. yes i'm corrupt.

              Fixed the thread yesterday , to 1 min to do and a 22$ tap (m12x1.5).I'll tackle re-refitting the subframe today.

                nice! oddly enough, 2 weeks ago I had the exact same problem, lol had to buy a tap and die kit, but yea M12x1.5 did the trick
