Sorry to resurect this thread, but I am having the same problem and am wondering if replacing the seals worked out.
I should specify that I drive a 350Z (although someday it will magically turn into a GTR I hope).
I have scoured the internet looking for a solution to this and the most common recommendation was PCV system. I cleaned and tested my PCV system (even istalled a catch can). I've driven a couple hundred kms since the PCV system work and have had no improvement.
In the back of my mind I've always suspected the valve seals, I think I've just been lying to myself since it seems to be quite a daunting repair. I will now bring my rambling to a close.
