  • Decided to do my steering wheel today. Can Someone tell me which way this is goes?

I think its for the turning signals. Iam not sure if its supposed to go up and down, or left and right, or diagonally, or something. Any help is very much appreciated!

Whatever way, I have to redo mine! I didn't install it so I'm not sure but my right signal won't automatically turn off - after seeing the hub, I'm guessing I know why.

It depends on what year of your Skyline but you can look at the back of your old stock steering wheel and you should be able to figure it out, but if you didn't have your wheels pointed straight before you removethe old steering wheel then you are some what screwed.

Ok I ran into another snag. Everything went in ok. The steering wheel is perfectly aligned, drive great BUT for some reason the horn button with not stick in the wheel. Its a momo corse steering wheel with the horn button. Here is a pic:

Am I missing something? Do I need a horn ring?

                    PM sent

I need something that will keep the horn button in place so Iam leaning toward the 2nd one but I dont know for sure. The button fits perfectly but doesn't stay in.

You def want the first one! I have the same horn button on my mom competition, looks schweet! i'll take my horn off and take a picture of the little silver ring that holds in in place today and send it to you!

Outside horn rings are uggers! hidden components ftw!

If your button is loose then it's the horn retainer that you need. A cheap (eh..quick?) fix wound be to use electrical tape and wrap around the button, just make sure the metal clip/spring in the side of the button is not taped up.

PS The horn ring is a personal thing, it looks good on certain steering wheel but if you want to save some weight then I wound leave it out......

On a footnote the HKB style hubs has a removable collar or inset for the horn, sometimes you'll have to flip that collar so that it will stick out to catch your horn button. This is a picture for the HKB spacer but that ring sticking out in the center is what I'm talking about.
