Well as for my problem, turns out my ignitor clip just came loose but the car still hesitates every now and then at low rpm when I go off the throttle then back on quickly

Alot of issues with the GTRs and fuel pumps is the wiring associated with the voltage stepper. The premis is that, under load, you get full voltage (still only about 12v instead of the 14 avail.) and at idle or no boost, the pump runs at about 9 to 10v to make the pump last longer.
Todays pumps, though, don't need to be limped along like that, they are robust enough to last a long time without the voltage stepping. I doesn't matter what pump you put in, I would get rid of the stepper and wire the pump feed directly to the battery and use the factory pump feed to switch the relay. That way you know the power source is good and you are feeding the pump 14v to get the most out of it.
I'll say it again, I have a Walbro in my Caprice and it's been 5 years now, 13v at the pump harness and still runs strong.
Jon.Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.

Jon.
Delete the stock voltage stepper, run a relay off it, and my walbro has been very very happy.

Sorry to leave you hanging .... currently I have not solved the cutting out problem. I am now with a skyline with no start. (probably flooded)
I did however prove the Walbro pump is still working.
Pulled off the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter in the engine bay. try and fill a water bottle in 5 sec.( this is my pressure test) it worked.
I also ran straight wires, fuse and switch to my fuel pump as a test.
I am going to tow it to rightdrive.ca see what they say. CAA rocks!! 4 free 200km tows a year.Last edited by clone; 06-17-2011, 05:41 AM.1993 GTR
