  • Need to remove my intake manifold, what else can I do ?

I need to remove my intake manifold just to plug in my oil pressure sensor.. So I thought to make it worth it I would change as much as i can while I'm here, but I can only think about changing the knock sensor. Is there anything else on this side worth swapping ?

I would replace vaccuum lines if they havent been already.. Also, clean the aac valve. My vaccum lines were hard and brittle and the aac was caked with carbon. Two very easy, inexpensive and helpful things to do.

any coolant lines would be a good idea too.

Gaskets, vacuum and coolant lines. DO NOT clean the black stuff off of the butterfly valves.

It seals the gaps around the butterfly valves. I know its sounds far fetched but I confirmed it last year. You'll never get your idle below 1100-1200 RPM again.

well you can actually buy throttle plate sealer that goes on the inside of the intake where the butterfly plate meets. i seen a bottle of tomei sealer on here somtime last year for sale lol but im sure some super cheap generic stuff would work just as good.

Very true, I found out the hard way. Cleaned the plates and now rpm is around 800 compared to 600 before.

good thing.. i was about to told my mechanic to clean the **** off lol.. I had idle issue which i expect the haltech and new TPS ( which was broken) will help but thought that the IAC could've been a good idea to check too.
