    I dont know if this should be here, but I was just wondering what the issue with neon is in Ontario. Ive heard from many people that certain colours are illegal, but im wondering if theres more to this. Can anyone help me out?

    I am talking about underbody neon (preferably blue or red.)

    Thanks :-o

    I see ChasDuran's car has it. Is this legal while driving on the streets?

      I am pretty sure it isn't. I have asked RCMP about this. You can't have almost every colour but purple. And they said you can only have it on while in park.

                Illegal driving. Legal Parked... Lost count of how many officers I have corrected on this issue too...

                ...And it's only rice if it's a $100 cheap neon kit from Wal-Mart.

                Mine is Varad L.E.D. kit, and fades thru 1000 Shades (including purple) as well as brightening to engine rpm, music, strobe, etc,.. I even have flashing L.E.D.'s in my headlights, blue, red, white, green... All good when parked.

                  from the info i have read, and gathered from cops, you can drive around with it on as long as the blubs are not visible, if the light is shining on the ground then thats fine...

                  as for colors you cant have blue or red, any other color is ok...

                  i have been in my firends lil CRX and gone through a road block at night with the neon glowing(he has a light blue) the cops said he shouldnt be driving with it on, since it could distract drivers, but since you cant see the blubs, and they looked, they couldnt do anythign about it, then he ripped away letting is 100000 inch coffee fart can blow loud....
                  How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

                    Definately NOT rice if it pulsates to injector duty cycle or ignition timing. Other stuff.... Hmmmm....

                      as shadao said, only blue and red are banned because it can be taken as impersonating an emergency vehicle.

                            Purple would be in poor taste as it's usually reserved for funeral vehicles.

                              Huge thread bump, but here you go...

                              Quoted right off sgi's website.

                              "Are under-car glow lamp kits permitted?

                              No vehicle driven on a highway can be equipped with:

                              a lamp that emits a white light facing to the rear;
                              a lamp that emits a red* light facing to the front;
                              a lamp that emits blue* or green* light; or,
                              equipment that detracts from required lighting.
                              * Includes colours within the colour spectrum."

                              So the way I look at it, just don't have white, red, blue, or green and you should be fine (in SK anyway).
