it is WELL known that many... I would say upwards of %75 of imported cars have rolled back or replaced ODO's.

    It's a fact of life.

As long as your car runs well that's all that matters.

    sucker it up.

The problem has not been sorted out between us at all . He posted this even before i recieved the document. Whatever by the looks of it im gonna have to sell it and be just like him. Scam someone and say its got low miles. But be smarter and not leave the service documents in the glovebox or under the seat

the mileage on the auction sheet is not fact. it is the mileage that the inspector sees in the cluster. the proper way to check the true mileage is a VIN check in Japan which is supposedly 99.9% accurate. before I go ahead and bid on a vehicle, the gentlemen that i am working with has his ppl perform this check everytime to be absolutely sure. unfortunately, i don't know anymore information on how to obtain this search. If i were you, i would investigate this further get the search done. its only $20.

looking at the pics in the PDF (great job btw), yes the car is in great condition (high 3.5 to maybe low 4.0) but the interior is easily a C because of the driver seat and general wear. a grade 3.5 C GTR goes for $12-13k. hence the price.

Just checked that vague auction sheet.

                  A) With the large stamp as seen, the vehicle was sold as scrap from the auction house. Has no grading. Basically buy it from the auction for parts, half cut future etc.

                  B) With the * beside the mileage, this means the mileage was untrue from the get go.

I strongly suggest in the future you buy from someone with a little more knowledge.

Thats it. Im callig this guy and telling him hes got 1 last chance to give me my money back. Or im taking him to court. I asked him what the auction grade of the vehicle was he lyed and said it was bought from the owner. But now it turns out se sold me some car that was a writeoff that they made run and pass inspection.

Ya that really blew me off my rocker . when i found out if was a writeoff car. Im working with amvic right now and their just looking over the documents and they cant beleive how stupid a company can be.

They told me to ask JDMTUNERS 1 More time for my money back. Or $6000 Compensation . If not then their gonna go and visit them and request it themselves or their gonna help me take him to court. and Basicly said their screwed if it goes that far.

                              Hi,

I wonder how many more people they'll screw over to cover there loss on this vehicle. I would still press the matter even/if you get a fat cheque from them.

Talked with Fred at AMVIC today. What he did was illegal.

                                What he did wrong:
                                - Wrote "Car is sold AS IS" on the bill of sale. - it is against the fair trading act of Alberta for an amvic member to write this on a bill of sale. He is having you sign away your rights which is against the law.

                                - Did not disclose the proper KM's on the vehicle - it is against the fair trading act of alberta to knowingly sell a car without mentioning the proper kilometers and stating the odometer reads wrong

                                - Likely did not give you a Inspection Sheet which again is against the fair trading act of alberta. Its illegal for a amvic member to sell a new or used vehicle without a mechanical inspection done

                                - Did not mention the car was ever in an accident. AGAIN against fair trade act of alberta. He obviously knew the car had suffered some sort of accident and did not tell you

                                --------------

Best bet is to have AMVIC send a inspector to check out your car and JDM Tuners. Likely he will lose his license to sell cars and have large fines applied to him.

                                Best of luck
