Agreed. In BC a parking lot meets the definition of a highway so it is totally fair game.

From the Motor Vehicle Act;

I think their all jealous because they don't have one of their own to play with. I think the cops have better things to do than hassel honest citizens about RHD, and a stupid sticker. We live in a free country, but we have very limited freedoms, this is very obvious. But what do I know, I own a RHD.They should make people with LHD put a retarded sticker on their car, see how that goes over. They could blow a bulb and the person behind would not know where the driver is. What a horse**** law, how shallow is our government??? the world will never know. I doubt that.

It's probably if you have a car that is considered "collectors", lets say a 1941 Pontiac for example. They didn't have flashers back then. Although your car has no signals, it's perfectly legal, and you are technically supposed to use your hand to signal.

I think you're also technically required to signal by hand if you have a burnt signal until you replace it, but dont quote me on this.

But I'm pretty sure you're required to have signals, unless your car falls into a special exemption category.

Hate to be the D1ck head that has to say it (again)... Put the GD sticker on your car, so that they don't ban RHD because we cant follow the simplest of laws. They don't have it here in AB but judged by the way things are panning out they will... And when they do I swear on my mothers grave that my car will have one. Avoid tickets... Avoid court dates... Avoid bans

I don't bitch and moan, because that puts a bad name for other 20 year olds and only makes them wanna charge even more. A lot of rules that aren't fair and if less people didn't dig in their heels so much cops wouldn't give us a hard time

Well, the weird thing about that law in particular, is some officers expect you to have an RHD sticker on the vehicle no matter what, when the HTA states you need a sticker if your vehicle is unequipped with signal devices. Usually explaining this to an officer will fix things, unless that officer feels that they are in the right. If you're being nice and not acting snippy, all should go well. Although I do agree with the "avoiding tickets" part. That's the best way to carry on

Cops are just hosers and want to piss anybody off that they can....Only if you have window tint on your vehicle that protrudes other drivers not to see the driver of the vehicle infont of them then yeah maybe you should have something indicating if you have a RHD vehicle.....But there is no way that the AVERAGE driver on the roads today will not notice that you have a RHD vehicle....if people just open their F***ING eyes then these little rules would not exist......stupid cops...just dont do anything stupid around Tim Hortons and you should be ok

thats when you pull over to the side ofthe road and let him drive past you... if he then does the same further down the road pull over again and speak with him... get his info make sure you see his badge, get his business card.... cops are required to have there badge on them and business cards... without these items cops are not in uniform...

when you talk to him give him the speal that you thought he was a stalker or a car theif and he was following you home... when you find out hes a cop(as in he finds out you find out hes a cop... lol) ask him why he follows you around? he wont be able to give you a clear and consise answer...

what he is doing is a harrassment, his presence makes you uncomfortable... the fact that he has a loaded fire arm prolly compounds this feeling... "to serve and protect " right...
