Anyways heres an update on how i got my car legal(almost).
So instead of using that mechanic that someone from this forum recommended, I went to canadian tire and passed everything(almost) with flying colors.
I didnt change anything on the car, not even dot approved headlights, its still super low and all that.
After they took the car they called me 10mins later and told me that if I don't put butt ends on all exposed wires I'm going to fail. Took me 5mins to fix that, I put butt ends on speaker wires(was in process of wiring a sub and aftermarket HU).
I thought I was going to fail for sure, cuz they were so anal about speaker wires with no power,, but after two hours they told me that the only thing thats wrong with my car is some holes in the muffler(quite a bit of rust in some spots )
Changing my muffler tomorrow and my gt-r is legal YAY!
Thanks for your help everybody.

I've been over this w/ a inspection shop before. There is a bunch of fine print but in most cases the general rule i was told is UNLESS your car comes standard or as an option from the DEALER. Its illegal. Stupid but ya, In your case I've been VI'd before and what they told me was that incase a tire blew I wouldn't have my front bumper or something scrapping down the road which would result in parts ripping and flying all over the road affecting other drivers. Canadian Tire is just trying to cover their ass as a buisness. Remember, marketers call sell stuff that normally illegal because in the end its the buyers risk that he takes installing it. Cops COULD pull you over if they want, but it really depends on the officer. I've been pulled over back in the days for having a blue daytime running light because it was attracting another drivers attention.

Not true, we live in a very free part of the world when it comes to what you can and can't do to a car. About the only thing that anyone can legaly get their panties in a bunch over is NO2. Even with the proper sticker in the back window warning anyone that you have it, you are really suposed to be a licenced carrier to transport it. Even a bottle that is not mounted and hooked up. Most autorities don't give a turkey but if they have a bone to pick with you because you were driving like an a$$hole that is a sure fire way to make your life hard.
Unless an aftermarket part makes your car undriveable or in anyway unsafe, anything goes.
You can't have a blue light on your car anywhere in Canada, that's why you got pulled over. Ontario uses blue lights on vehicles other than police but, again, if you are not a plow truck, you can't display a blue light.
Jon.Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.
