Watch the vidoeclip again and look at the revs on dash vs the way the car accelerates. Revs don't drop below 4500-5000rpm or so and when it does, engine bogs.
I would think laggy turbo. My guess is similar in size to a TD06 turbo on RB20DET -
Short drive in a newly purchaces HCR32. Fitted with small single, fuel system and so much more. Should be a Kelowna BC sleeper!
Driver drops transmission into a lower gear to keep revs above 5000rpm and turbo on boost. When car exited main straight (where start line is located), he let revs drop below 5000rpm and for a split second the engine bogged and then engine / car accelerated and car went sideways a bit.
Similar driving style, as you would use when driving a diesel powered car with a peaky powerband on Nurburgring to get best laptimes -

His driving style played a big part in that fast laptime. But can be improved with better lines through the corners. He didn't learn which gear to use on what corner overnight. Took alot practice (laps) to get to that point where he achieved a fast laptime.RESPONSE MONSTER

People asked me for specifications on this car and in the process I found engine bay, etc photo's. The car is very simple and could be replicated for under 20-30K. Overall it's a very simple car with mods done in the right area's (power, handling, brakes, aerodynamics, weight reduction).
It does run a stock R33 turbo and produces 314hp at engine according to dynochart (thought it was at wheels).
Engine / engine bay -
Stock R33 RB25DET turbo
Aftermarket exhaust manifold (stock location type)
Retuned stock ECU (some say it has a HKS FCON PRO ECU)
Injectors???
Fuelpump???
Z32 MAF???
HKS airfilter
HKS adjustable camgears
No BOV (blanking plate)
No PCV system (blocked off with catch tank at back on engine bay)
Tabata (S type??) radiator with air separation bottle
FMIC (don't know size or brand)
Full 3inch??? exhaust with one muffler at rear
Heat shielding on intercooler intake piping that runs infront of radiator
Battery relocated to boot
Suspension
HKS coilovers (my guess)??? with Front spring rate 12.3kgm and Rear 10.7kgm
ARC swaybars (they look the same)
