So I parted out the Mazdaspeed3 this fall, although I have kept it as a daily driver. I needed the funds to buy my dream car which I finally picked up and registered last week through RightDrive. Although I still haven't gotten my plates so I am running some borrowed dealer plates for now. A quick rundown:
January 1995 built Skyline GTR V-spec. midnight purple factory paint colour. 1 of 1,423 R33 Vspec's built, #88 R33 GTR built.
Aftermarket parts:
-1998 Skyline GTR factory HID headlights
-Greddy 4row FMIC with polished piping kit
-Greddy Profec B boost controller, with factory boost restricter removed (running 13psi vs. 8psi stock)
-Greddy FATT
-Nismo 320KPH, 11,000RPM cluster
-Nismo - Oil temp, boost, front torque centre console guages
-Greddy peak/memory boost and EGT guages
-Momo steering wheel
-HKS coilovers
-Project Mu 2 piece floating, slotted front rotors, 1 piece rears
-OS Giken twin plate clutch
-OS giken shortened 1st gear
- 18x10 BBS LM championship gold wheels
-Nissan N1 front bumper
The car is totally mint, must have been inside its whole life. It hauls serious ass too so far. And no real issues yet. I bought it as a track car so I can't wait to see what it does in the summer.
Put about 300km on it this weekend and am super happy. Did a bit of minor fixing on it already, including a leaking fuel return line. But no major issues of any sort. Did a little acceleration and handling testing on it including a nice 2nd gear drift on Stouffvilel road and a 0-190kmh run on the highway late at night. Now it is back into the garage until spring is well underway.
To all those thinking of buyign R33's hopefully this gives a better picture of the car than the small Jap pics usually going around. The car has a beautiful coke bottle shape in person with wide flares.
