      Zacho,

My ******* china-bay is cracking around the outside of the T4 flange, albeit not on the inside. I'm sure it will crack around the inside if I continue to use it. I think just welding a thicker pass over the cracked weld is just delaying the inevitable... What do you think?

Seeing as how I just cut the flange off it and was going to get it welded to my rb26 that I got from you, I'm thinking of saving that money, and buying a rawbrokerage or something. But they sell for upwards of $1700!!! How much time would you say you put in? If you have 20+ hours into yours, then I guess $1700 is reasonble.

Have any pictures of what you mean Andre? I am not sure if you mean the crack is on the actual flange OR if this crack is around the weld around the base of the flange meeting the collector.

Like I have said before I am not professional at this. That said, I personally like to drill the ends of cracks in anything I can being repaired. Just taking a small drill bit and taking the time to drill the ends of the crack and then welding over it can actually be a repair to last some time. Like anything repaired though Id still look for a long term solution.

You know the one that I now know after building this is that manifold prices are generally not unreasonable. This manifold took me ~40-60 hours first time round. A lot of that time is taking very careful measurements to get zero gaps on all runner joints & cutting the 6-1 collector on the jig as best I could. After the first manifold it takes much less time since you have a jig/measurements to go off. The $13-1700 manifolds are fair in my opinion. Always thought 6boost was best value I could find.

Might as well post some pics of this manifold installed.

That is great placement on the turbo man. All around you did an awesome job. Maybe you should take it up as a side job thing. In sure you could sell these.
