New Member Intro

I love all types of cars and have a fondness for building them out to suit my tastes...a homage to the OEM and not a caricature of them. I'm waiting on my R32 and wanted to learn as much as I can about the stock car and the aftermarket side of things. What works and what doesn't with regard to engine/transmission/suspension upgrades and what fits my aesthetic eye in the aftermarket side of things.

My plan: Build out the R32 with a goal of 450-500whp, redo the interior with better leather and alcantara, and wrap the car with matte film. It will be a resto mod build but will not disparage the heritage of the Skyline name with its modifications.

Why am I here: In November 2013, I was lucky enough to pick up an almost completely stock BNR32 for a reasonable price. She needed some lovin' in the paint department so I stripped her down and will be sending her out in April (which is when I believe I'll have the money for the body work and paint). During the stripping, I found a lot of little details that annoyed me and decided that I was going to fix every little thing before building her back up for summer. I was searching for a forum that was Canadian where I could discuss mechanics, electrical and just overall stuff and stumbled here. Very glad to have found you guys and can't wait for the Skymeet of 2014! Cheers!
