Not to hijack but why do people think used car parts are worth so much?!? In the real world a used part should be worth 1/2 of retail MAX.

I know, but I used the R33 tag to clarify because R32 were both push and pull. And yes I think this might just turn in to a bidding war, in which case, I'm out.

Rhd Japan has 1-5 gears for 2700 bucks.

Can you only run a pull clutch with that (I am now assuming that this is an R33 box)? If so I will have to track down a conversion kit to run my R4C clutch with this. Still interested though. How many Ks do you think is on it and how many 1/4mile passes did the guy in the UK you got the car from say it made?

It's a push type, should work with your R4C.

This is not the same gearbox ran by the UK guy. This set-up was installed in 2010 and probably has about 1200 kms on it. Although this is a street car I barely drove it do to the fact that I could not find a tuner the first year(HKS) and that I also have 3 other cars.

This set-up runs high 9s on street tires making 765awhp and 697tq this being without the nitrous.

I've been to the track twice, and maybe did 15 street runs and most of those were on the highway beating bikes.

1st gear does over 100kph on 245/45/17 tires but this might also be due to the higher than stock redline.

If you can't decide in a price, list the parts so I can start assuming what to offer without lowballing you or ripping myself off...

$2700 for the geadset someone said? Plus the hollinger input shaft, + any new seals needed if its a used gear box to start, plus install cost... Then there's the shift forks, those can fail if not upgraded.

I can't offer anything without knowing exactly what is in there. Once we know and are certain, I'm game to entertain.

So that's the gears only.

What about the "hollinger" input shaft, labour and what else that could be done. That $2600+shipping can turn into $4000 or more quick lol.

I'm no expert but I believe you need r33 synchros and many other new Nissan parts when dropping gear set into r32 box which adds up. I was told there is a proper and improper way of putting together these boxes which could dictate reliability and amount of power they can handle. This is a proven box with dyno papers and timeslips.

I called Os Giken today to get more info on this but kept getting no answer. Guess they are closed for the Holiday.

I searched UK forums and many have been selling these boxes for 3500 pounds($5500 cdn) and most are only 1-3 gears or without input shaft.

I would like to get $4000 if possible, thanks.

So....for the whole package, that's a 1-5 OS geared tranny, Hollinger input, billet midplate (?) with only 1200kms on it and a freshened transfer case(?) that doesn't need a push/pull conversion for $4000?


Hmmmm.....I'll start thinking about it again (unfortunately there will be about $800 in shipping on top of that)........
