Hello Careless,
I've been interested in doing exactly what you were planning for my 72 240Z. A naturally aspirated RB motor is a very appealing direction for me but I'd previously been daunted by the research and gathering required. Looks like you've done a ton of that work.
-First and foremost, is this package still available? You've resisted parting it out for some time and it looks like you've almost sold it twice?
-Briefly, what made you decide against this direction (NA RB) for your project?
-What level of discussion goes on right here in this forum as opposed to person to person (don't want to break any of the forum rules).
Looking forward to your reply.
Thx,
Jason

Jason,
long story short, I had to move- so I took the small items with me, and traded the derelict S30 chassis I had. It was really not worth keeping. So I kept the RB parts, and took my VG33ET and put it into my Z31 and bizzounced from that home to where I am now.
I kept the motor and came to the realization that I don't have the room for another vehicle and the VG33ET is enough fun for me right now.
If I were to do any swap in the future, it would definitely be an N/A RB30, or a highly modified VG36E or something to that effect because I am familiar with the SOHC VG platform. And my vision isn't perfect, so there's the off chance that I may be able to build the engine with "my eyes closed", but if I ever end up driving it, people better get the hell outta my way. LOL.
... I've replied to all PM's.
