  • WANTED 4" cat back exhaust for r32 gtr

    hi guys,

i'm building my LHD 1992 gtr and my 3" trust exhaust wont be big enough for my car anymore

i'm looking for minimum 3.5" upwards of 4" cat back exhaust and cat test pipe

    im located in waterloo ontario

i have a new 4" borla muffler so as long as the piping is good that all that matters, or i will buy complete cat back

let me know what you have

    Luke

    thanks

I think I have what you want. HKS hi power silent but not silent.
2 piece, 3.75" wihh +4.5 tip and a JDM test pipe.
Condition, light scrape on underside of canister and cleaned with Autosol this week. This is the type with square flanges.

I was planning to cut and add a resonator but if you buy it I can replace it with something more to my needs.

    3.75

that sounds like it would solve my problem,

this exhaust is from an r32..... i found lots of r33/34 exhaust but minor modifications are required

what are you looking to get for the exhaust and cat test pipe

      how loud is the exhaust?

      thanks

it's on my R32 at the moment. If you're in Mississauga stop by to check it out and have a listen. I'd ideally like to get enough to simply replace it with something. I haven't found anything yet so no price.

my car is in the performance shop right now, and i will need an exhaust for my car next week around wednesday or so

the shop is in north york, if you like we could meet there on monday or something

are you seriously interested in selling your exhaust for next week?
or not sure because you need to time things with finding one for your car?

no pressure, i just need to find something to complete my build for next week

          thanks

I hear you. I was at japan direct today and nto a single GTR or R32 exhaust. He has a 3" r33.
I work during the week 9-5 in oakville and don't use the car daily. How much would you want to pay for an exhaust and test pipe though?

i dont have any pictures of it currently,

its a full 3" exhaust with a stainless 4" muffler on the end

it still has the factory cat...

4"!!! Building a 1000hp dragster? Most of use at 500whp still roll from 3"-3.5".

Mind me asking who did the LHD conversion? I'd like to get on that soon, before the laws change. That and insurance will be easier to keep. Gettin on my 5th company now (cancellations due to being rhd).

go custom. being able to use v-bands is reason enough, let alone the crappy step downs I've seen at the flanges.

                      don't forget larger=better spool too.
                      oh hai!

Not true at all!!!! You still need some back pressure. you will not spool any faster at 300hp with a 4" exhaust vs a 7". In fact actually going bigger will hurt you. But i do agree go custom. I made my full 4" exhaust including a 4" downpipe with vband flanges for under $400. now it takes me 10 min to swap out exhausts

Not here to argue, but I have not seen any evidence (physical or mathematical) to support your theory.

im going for 450-500whp.... but my turbos can handle more,

and i was told my 3" exhaust wont be able to propely carry that horsepower.... so thats why im after at least 3.5" based off whitehead performance and their research... 3.75" is ideal for my specific application....

the lhd conversion was done in the uk many years ago by a previous owner....

i was told to have the conversion done here would cost minimum of 12k and upwards depending on the quality of the conversion

there are full kits online i've been told to do the conversion by yourself... but they aren't cheap either
                            and its time consuming

my insurance company has no issues with insuring it full coverage for $1000 a year No restrictions

do you guys think that a 3" exhaust will allow for a built car to reach 500whp?

i wont be using the car at that hp very often.... most of the time it will be driving with boost controller off or at a level of 375whp

im figuring a 3.5 cat back with a 3.5" test pipe, greddy down pipe, aftermarket dump pipe, and headers will do the job

but im not experienced in exhaust perfomance... so if anyone knows... im all ears,
