$400 is exceptional for an AL shaft.

Normally, you are looking at $800 AL vs $1500 CF

I've seen people asking $4k for CF ones.

90% of the result for 10% of the price, I know how I'd spend my money.

Actually $400 is one of the most expensive AL driveshafts theys sell. Lots of cars the price is less because they don't need a slip joint in the middle. Bumps the price a little.

If that means I have to replace the shaft in the diff, I prefer not to convert.

BTW, Speeddm, which shop in Alberta can build me an quality AL shaft?

It seems that it is worthwhile to look into getting an AL shaft (especial available locally), if $400 is all you pay.

Hey, whats the update on this??
Which one did you go with???
Alluminum seems like the way to go, besides if it is indeed $400, than it is very reasonble too...

I have decided on getting the DriveShaftShop Carbon shaft. The decision is based on Carbon Shafts are a lot more forgivable than Aluminum ones.
