How long is the waiting list on the new GTR? I remember the list for the Saturn Sky (flame all you want) back when I worked at Saturn, We got one in 6 months after the release... who got to test drive it? me. Insane amount of looks, Just imagin the looks you would get in a 08 GTR!

If I owned a NSX I would sell it any day to have the new GTR, I love the NSX but its a 08 GTR.... enough said

Well, we can debate all day over subjective things. Bottom line is I don't have the $81Gs to spend atm, and the nsx does everything for me. Its just funny when I see people talk down to nsx just because its got Vtec, like that means anything. Sounds like the tree huggers that hate all cars cuz they use gasoline.

Congrats! NSX...one of my favourite sports cars of all times!

Boo VTEC though...no more torquless, oil-burning Honda VTECs for me! I'll stick with my Nissan VTC and twin turbos! hehe...VTEC isn't anything like a turbo...WAY more lag, and not nearly as much power when it does finally kick in!
FINAL CLEARANCE! EVERYTHING MUST GO NOW!

ive seen civics rape skylines so i know well enough to respect the capabilities of a honda/acura. the nsx is a very capable car looks and performance wise. im not saying the nsx is a bad car. im with braden that id rather have an 09 gtr rather than a nsx. like it was said before gtr is more a brute power oriented car while the nsx is more refined with enough punch to back up the looks. it just boils down to personal preference.

i hate the way most comercials are going now. Buy this car, it gets XX mpg and has XX amount of speakers, and don't forget the MP3 connections.

its like when the main selling point used to be 32 cupholders.

There are 3 or so GTRs States side already. i cant wait for the US aftermarket parts. This car will open up such a wide variety of choice for parts as time goes, will be great.

VTEC - all of the lag, none of the turbo.

sure 9000RPM cars are fun, but I'd rather have a 7000RPM car with torque.

                        9000RPM f20c dyno chart.. woot 150ftlb!

I dunno, maybe they're just not for me. Some hondas I like (I currently have a turbo del sol and have previously owned a 1991 EF sedan and 1988 CRX Si) but I was unimpressed by the NSX, there's better bang-for-buck out there.

                          Here we go again...

People fail to rememebr that the nsx is a 1991 design. In 2025, kids in modded wrx's will be putting down the R35 too. :P

Anyways, desire for cars is a generational phenomenon. When I was 22, I loved the nsx when it debuted and now I have one. I've owned all the cars I've lusted after as a kid, but the only one I want to keep is the NSX. Sucks to be me.

the FD3S probably a late 80's design? (started sales in 1991)
And the GTR is an 80's design too...
Maybe the NSX is your cup of tea - it just isn't mine.

You are lucky to have owned all of the cars you wanted as a kid - I haven't even come close, most of the rest I still want are $30-100k in the used market still.

yeah why all the vtec hate... like come on now you gotta give it respect... a 2L naturally asperated motor putting down 240hp? thats better hp/liter than an RB26 and it doesn't have 2 turbo's... that coupled with a 9000rpm redline in a production affordable reliable car? its an engineering marvel imo...8-)

but on topic im with Ztuned , JZ you should have picked one up, doesn't the GTR have more seats than a NSX? :-P

                                rx8's make 240hp and are only 1.3L, N/a.
the last of the FD's made 320+hp at 1.3L also. twin turbo.

people that wonder about "vtec hate" have probably never driven something with a big motor. Like, a C6 or whatever. They still don't make torque and torque is what makes cars fun.

anyways, sorry if we're getting off topic here. New gtr. $81,900. I bet they sell like hotcakes if nissan imports them in numbers.
