The EVO is has its motor mounted transverse just like a FWD car. However I don't think they will have any issues spinning the motor 90 degrees for the Genesis.

Supposed to check in somewhere in the mid 30's with the 375 horsepower 4.6L V8. I'm definitely interested in one. I was debating selling my GTR and picking up an Evo 8/9 or an STi, but might just get one of these instead and enjoy a new car with a warranty, and doohickeys like proximity entry that I like so much

It's alright I guess, definitely impressive stuff for Hyundai, never did I expect them to release something like this. At the same time I doubt it'll ever be as great as the 370Z or G37 and I strongly doubt it'll put the 240SX...or any S-chassis for that matter "to rest". Just imo, the 240SX was made over 17 years ago and still looks a hell of a lot nicer that this, maybe not as fast, but still, I'd prefer an S13 to the Genesis. Everyone has their preferences, if this new Genesis does well, all the power to it.1992 NISSAN 240SX - RB20DET POWER

The reason this is supposed to put a 240SX and Z car's "to rest" is because it comes with the ridiculously strong, reliable, and easy to mod world engine and they're aiming for a low MSRP for the turbo-4 variant of the coupe to put more new enthusiasts cars in the hands of young people.
A new G37 Coupe with a 6-speed manual and 330 HP starts at 46000. The Genesis is supposed to check in at 10K less with 45 more horsepower. 350Z starts at 50K!1990 Skyline GT-R - Jet Silver Metallic

The Rhys Millen car (1st one above) is very sexy and very tastfully done for an all out race car. Anyone who picked up 'Modified' Mag this month probably had a chance to see it in greater detail as well, as THAT is what got me interested in this car in the first place.
Very nice pics.

if they just shoved spy pix online w/o tellin u which company made the car.. im pretty sure some of u guys wud dig it.. n then lose interest after they tell u its a hyundai..
the car's actually got pretty nice curves if u ask me.. car designs r gettin uglier by the year since like 2000.. (including the R35.. R34 still looks better to me)
n for the interested, hyundais n kias r catching up to japan w/ regards to performance, interior design, comfort imo..
altho they're still behind, they've come a long way..
BUT i still would take any japanese import over a korean as their reliability is still in question..輝く ヘタクソの星 -- 含撚啦爛袋獸

I like the look of the Genesis, I sat in one, the turbo model and it felt alright. I'd say it's the new boy racer car sadly, not the wrx or lancer gtsNo build thread.

Not in my opinion, again, as Tokes said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I still and always will love the look of the S13 240SX. It comes down to preference. The HKS Genesis looks alright, not in my top list, but it's alright. Still like the S13, say what you like but everyone has their own opinion. Again, I give credit to Hyundai for coming this far with their Genesis, I'm impressed with that, just not a fan of the car.Originally posted by ndawg View Post^^the only nissan thats still lookin good is the Z321992 NISSAN 240SX - RB20DET POWER
