Let's make my winter beater ridiculous!

NO, I'm not joking. His car is still minty except for the rust which is normal on these cars.

My corolla is actually a piece. My trunk was moldy so I threw it out. Trunk fills with water when it rains. I only have 3 out of 4 mud flaps. Only one key works in the ignition, the other one doesn't really work at all. Have to open trunk via cable as the lock cylinder doesn't work with any key, same with passenger door. My car was missing a window so I made one out of Lexan and siliconed the junk out of it. Brakes work when they want to. Car had A/C until the motor was replaced, now it doesn't due to previous owner. Various wire were melted and not even connected to anything, yet it some how ran an entire winter no problems. I can go on if you like :biggrin:

Either that, it'll just break down and end up a fancy paperweight.

Hmm well maybe if you hadn't wasted so much money buying name brand parts (i.e. your HKS FMIC) because you must have the best of the best (in a car that isn't running...?) you would be able to fix 90% of the above problems. If you had bought a cheaper IC I bet you could have afforded to fix the above.

As for the car being perfect for a turbo swap... I'm sorry why is he driving the Skyline again? Oh right, probably the RWD (assuming GTS-t) and hmmm... I dunno the turbo? I'm sure if he wanted to build a Corolla he wouldn't be on GTRC right now... he'd sell his R32 and build a "wicked-bad-ass-EFI-16-valve corolla."

I seriously hope you're kidding, because clearly everything except for the racing stripes is held on by double sided tape, and will take all of half an our and a tenth of a bottle of goof off to remove.

Other than that, did you not see his post where he mentions that he doesn't want to do anything that will permanently damage his car? I'm sure if you read that maybe you wouldn't have made such an absurd comment from left field, as obviously he has no desire to "destroy such a good car."

It's his winter beater. Key word there being beater. He's not wrecking ****, he's having a couple cheap laughs at his car, and we all seem to be enjoying it as well.

Lighten up. I give it a two weeks, a month tops, before he pulls it all off anyways.

I don't understand where I pissed you off...If you must know my car isn't running due to a missing resistor. Other than that it's perfectly fine. And it's come along way since when I bought it in 2007.

If you calm down and look back a page or two you will notice the stick on side vents. I was referring to those as stick on's.

It bet you are happy being an a$$hole to someone like me who spends more time helping out the skyline community and taking care of others before spending his time and money on his car. After putting almost $20,000 into my car to have some newbie come by and make fun of me for spending time to get it running right the first time. Heck, I think my AEM ecu is worth about how much you pay to insure your car for a year if not more.

Basically I've been through 4 jobs in the past year all of which were minimum wage. Currently I'm unemployed and don't have money to pay for anything. That's why I put my money towards insuring the corolla, so I can get to any possible interviews in the near future.

My car may not run but I still own it. And that's all that matters to me. You may have a skyline, but you will never come close to all the sh*t I've gone though.

BTW, the turbo idea...that was intended for when he upgrades his turbo on his skyline. It's a free part that he already has plus a turbo from a straight six on a small a$$ four banger...lot's of fun.

ALSO I only paid $500 for that intercooler, brand new :P

Chillax son. If I was truly angry I never would have deleted the comment in the first place. I'm glad you got your car running. I'm proud of the fact you can own a Skyline with no job. I personally am a struggling student in University who spent all of his money (from working running a painting company in the summers, and part time while in school etc.) supporting my mother, brother and sister, while in school, after my stepfather got into drugs and lost our house and pulled our family through the mud until about a year ago when I was able to start saving up for a car.

If you wanna whip out penis' and see who's been through more **** then son you need help. Everyone's been through ****. I'm not special and neither are you.

Oh and like I said in my PM. I'm busting your balls dude. I have a Greddy V-Spec on my car, it was expense too, but only cause I got mine for free because the previous owner shelled out the coin for it. I just have different priorities. Whataya gonna do?

And seriously, to everyone as this isn't the first time I've done this, sometimes I'm a ****. What can I say? Chances are if I've offended you I was likely busting your balls and didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I'll go throw a disclaimer in my signature right now.

Anyways lets get back on topic. This thread is about making this winter beater ridiculous unless I'm mistaken. Ryan if your feelings are still hurt feel free to PM me back. I just thought the contradiction of yourself from page 5 to 8 was quite comical.

PS: I never really though about throwing the RB20 turbo on the Corolla until you mentioned it. Just didn't think he was upgrading. I can see how that would be fun, even if it didn't spool til like... 4500rpm in that thing haha.

Have you thought of painting your steelies? I painted mine red and they truly rock/get attention.

I don't have a winter beater. My HCR32 served me well all last winter (BC winter, but hey) and I have a summer beater which I use for work.

Need some inspiration? It's purely for entertainment/not giving a f*ck.

daaaaaaaamn guys take it easy! this is just for some temporary fun, whoever said i'll be taking all this crap off within a month or 2 was absolutely right. i'm honestly starting to love this car, as old and CD player-less as it is.
this corolla's a great car, everything works perfectly, including the AC amazingly. i'm planning on really fixing it up after winter, taking all the rust off, new paint job, new wheels. i just wanna have some ridiculous fun before i do that, i've never had a car that was cheap enough to do that to. my old 944 wouldve shot me if i'd put a scoop on it!

haha not yet! i'll be hitting the Home Depot on Saturday afternoon. i just had a job interview, went really well, and now i've got a job "tryout" on saturday morning to make sure i'm what they're looking for (no i'm not an escort). i've gotta hit the books until then and i've got a big concert on friday night so no time to work on the car until after the tryout. dont worry, the ridiculousness won't end any time soon!
