There's a lot of people who haven't lost respect for civics and cars like that though.

Even excluding the price of the car to start with, you could build a 600 WHP turbo civic for significantly cheaper than a 600 WHP GTR. For some people, straight line is all that matters.

as much as it pains me to say it, and I dont even know why I think like this, but I really have no respect for them. The drivers on the other hand, that do more than your avg body kit and canadian tire rim job, i respect. Like the 600 whp civic owners

My lol was about the 600 whp comment haha. So using that logic your beloved GTR in stock or decently modified trim would also recieve no respect ... ?

Civics don't need 600 whp to be a threat to many cars out there. Very respectable car in many cases imho.

All of what Im talking about is 'tuner' cars. R and S chassis cars take a lot of background knowledge, hard work, and patience. Thats why I respect a man that can build a 600hp civic. the output and model of car were taken from posts above mine, personally I dont see a 600hp civic being built my more than 2 people worldwide.

I think any bonehead could buy a Skyline too. A guy who can get 200hp out of a B16 gets props from me and those are going to move. Do you have any idea what background knowledge, hard work and patience goes into pushing 200+ out of an N/A B16? A hell of a lot more than a guy who tosses on a few bolt-ons on a GTR and has a "true tuner car."

If you look on Honda-Tech.com there are probably close to 100 street cars making 600+ WHP.

There's a CRX in town that pushes that much power and it cost him less than a 400hp GTR including bying the crx. Let me tell you, if you can't afford a gtr, just buy a civic and beat GTRs without all the cost and problems of owning one. A high revving N/A honda is badass IMO, even if they don't often look good.

I don't and I realize now that pretty much everything I said above was incorrect. All I have to say to that is over the two days prior I logged 5 hours of sleep, while the rest of that time was spent in the back seat of a truck driving. I was in another state of mind, and I retract those statements if possible

I respect Honda's but some owners lose my respect due to their actions as people, not the type of cars they drive.

I am certain the same goes for Nissan owners in the eyes of other enthusiasts also.

The way I see it, you can't expect to be respected if you don't show your respect for others. It's the diversity of automobile enthusiasts that makes life interesting.

I agree completely. I hope everyone understands I wasn't putting this fella down for owning a Civic, I just felt bad that he had to keep bumping his thread back to the top, with no shown interest.
