Rotary rebuild commence! .... again



Got lots done today.

First I spent 4 hours cleaning and organizing my garage.

Then I removed the whole turbo system (unfortunately the exhaust wheel needs to be replace due to damage from apex seal shrapnel), intake system, SMIC, fuel system and un bolted the transmission.

Engine should be out by next weekend.

Sounds like fun!!! If you were in my area I'd come over and help you out, so I could learn something about rotaries myself

I was... but no one wanted to buy it! :P... I got sick of looking at it just sitting there so I figured I may as well get moving on it before winter sets in and my garage is -15*

good luck with build Aaron, after all the low balls you probably decided to fix her up.

Everything going to be the same, aside from the shortblock which is being swapped out.

The nice thing about it, is I have done EVERYTHING once already... fuel system, ignition, turbo system etc, so it's basically unbolt-and re-bolt up. No measuring stainless lines, no fabbing up brackets etc. And I don't have to deal with hidden issues or corroded bolts

So it should be easy

Good luck with the rebuild and I hope you end up keeping her! Just make sure you get her professionally tuned before doing any hard driving.
