          Congrats man!

Is your wife to be actually going to let you pick the colors?? I got no say in anything lol.... but probably for the best. She had picked out that same carbon fiber ring for me but that was one thing I was able to change her mind on! It was a nice thought but I wanted something for years to come, not a fad type thing. Are colors she picked were yellow/ brown. Wasn't a big fan at 1st but it turned out nice.

White/yellow gold is good. It can never be over played.
not to mention that is made of cheap garbage. lol

Not sure if your little miss is gonna enjoy overflowing bounties of carbonfiber. Maybe just a couple things for your own personal pleasure. Or we'll all come with matching neffiwrap ties. we... ARE invited right? :P hahahaha

Shes digs the carbon fiber accents and the green. We have both already decided on yellow Gold. Were in it together

A bowtie will still look good in 20 years? I look goofy in a bowtie now and Ill still look goofy in a bowtie in 20 years...so no.

As far as a bright color, I dig it.
Maybe not a full on green vest. Me and alycia both agree we cant do that green, although we both want to. We cant stand to copy. So we spent a bit of tonight seeing what looks good with black/charcoal/CF theme.
Were leaning towards some form of blue. Not sure.

Bow ties are always in hehe. I can see the appeal of the bright green, cool color. Have fun, I don't think tons of guys get to help pick that stuff haha, or they don't want to, good on ya.

Congrats on the engagement! Big step in one's life.

I have a regular platinum wedding band but in the last 10+ years of marriage we've both picked up "alternate" bands for the heck of it (kinda like the 3rd jersey in the NHL ). I had a wedding band made in Ti and another one in white gold and CF like the pic above.

                        Wow congrats man.

We better get a special parking lot. Or at least a section.

I know my gf says she would let me participate in the colors, but it's more like, "Here's the two color schemes I like, you pick one." hahaha.

A thought on the CF thing... if your family, or her family for that matter, has a family crest, you may want to look into having a black satin/silk-like material that you can put the crest on in a pattern. The smaller it gets the closer it looks to carbon-fibre, but then still has meaning and purpose. Gives the same effect essentially (thinking mainly for table cloths). Think of some of the different finishes you can get on a satin looking tie with patterns that play off of light...

The reason I think of this is that my snowboard looks similar to the picture in your first post, but I don't have CF it's an overlay on the black with pattern and a crest. Looks sick. I'll try and find a pick of something that I'm thinking about...

                        EDIT:

Rather than Paisleys however you could rock an intricate, smaller sized, patterned look of your crest... maybe this helps illustrate my thoughts?

I looks as if though were shying away from bright colors, basically just only only the green we liked, the rest are lighter shades of blue, we though about mint. Not sure.. hmmm

Hmmmm. I say go for the awesome colors. You only get married once ( or thats how its supposed to be). So make it one to remember.

If you get bright colors. You might think back 15 years from now saying, what the heck were we thinking, then laugh it off. Or you might be like, we had style back then baby.

Either way. I say do something to remember. Some people like the old fashion style weddings. But they get played out, so do what you want

Most importantly have fun with it. Have fun planning it, have fun. Its supposed to be a happy day. make it one

                            Congrats by the way

I want to see those skyline pictures at the wedding. That will be awesome

                              Congrats.

Go for a deep rich green, thats what we did. Also if you look at the tux rental shops that have vests that look similar to carbon fibre. I put my groomsmen in black tuxes, black vests, green ties, green pocket squares. I wore a silver vest with a bit of a carbon fibre pattern, silver and black tie, and a silver and black pocket square that looked like carbon fibre that I bought from Harry Rosen.

In regards to the rings look into some custom made bands, you can get some different designs that you will still like 25 years from now. Also everyone thinks custom work is really expensive but if you go to a goldsmith their prices are often cheaper than a Birks because they don't have crazy overhead due to large inventories. I went to a guy in Toronto that was awesome and reasonably priced but seeing as how you are in BC that probably wont help you much. He may have some ideas you can use on his website www.leifbenner.com

                              Good luck
