Victoria Police, Excessive?

Wow I thought this stuff was only that bad in the U.S. "Can't we all just get along?"

Unbelievable!! This over-zealousness (putting it lightly) is ridiculous. I agree, we don't know the full story but I can't think of anything that justified that.

I agree with many of you I am tired of some (not all) cops that abuse their position..."Protect and to serve" I know that some of them hate the system, hate the general public but that is crazy.....

I've run into awesome cops who are truly out there to protect the public and serve it. (just how their cores as a person is)

And I've run into a majority who are the biggest elitists. bc240 has nothing on these guys

i know the guy that was getting kicked by the pig, he was in the paper yesterday...according to his statement, he was in a fight, got hit in the face a few times, then the fight got broken up, he went to the median and waited to get looked at then the cop comes over and starts kicking him and shoving him to the ground when he had already put his hands behind his back

The problem is that there serperate laws for police officers. Such as assaulting a peace officer, killing a peace officer.... Yes they are out there trying to protect the public, but what these laws are saying is they are more important than you or I. Then there is the fact when they screw up they are either protected by fellow police officers,the police department(internal investigation) or by the legal system. If they want to have extra protection then this should apply the other way. If they break the law they are punished more serverly than the public.
