With a stock 2.4L/5spd, the 240sx gets around 19/25. Not great by today's standards but a fair improvement over my current situation. With a performance oriented engine and turbo, I bet it would drop down to 15/24.

I just had another idea. I've also got a Trans Am Firebird mini-project. Listed it on CL looking for a trade. That way, I can have a decent all round/winter car and keep my Corvette as a toy. Otherwise, if I can outright sell the T/A, I can buy a 240/300ZX/whatever comes up.
Thanks for the suggestion, GTR-guy, but I've been around too many DSMs with issues.
I did think about the Miata..but my friends would give me so much hell if I bought one. I want to avoid that image, although they are great cars.Last edited by QuietChaos; 08-11-2010, 10:39 PM.03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 5AT "Valerie"

I would love to own one of those....
Do you have any other car other than the corvette?
If you don't I would suggest a subaru for the winters.... 6k can get you a pretty decent one.Last edited by quadracer111; 08-12-2010, 01:43 AM.BNR32- Sold

When proplery maintained Z32's are very relaible. if you decide to buy one the first thing you should do is the 120k timing belt service, Usual problems are the power seats not working(it happened to me ), t tops sometimes leak, car has a lot of electrical **** but I haven ever had a problem , and if you decide you want power the Z can make power easily !!!

What are everyone's thoughts on the MKIV Supra? N/A and TT. I'd also like to get more opinions on the Z32 300ZX if I could. Both of these cars look good, which is important for me. I have to look at it every day, after all - might as well enjoy it.
I haven't really thought about the RX-7 yet, at all. I'm not too familiar with rotaries. However, I have seen FBs for sale on Craigslist with Mustang 5.0 swaps, etc. I think I'd be more comfortable with that. The car is still lightweight enough (even with the 5.0) to be relatively good on gas. Something I will definitely consider.
I've got a friend who bought an FC a couple years ago and is only getting it on the road now. Regardless of how great the FD looks, it's not something I can live with right now.
@Mrcraka: I looked around on Craigslist last night and probably found a dozen or so dirt cheap 300ZXs, in N/A and TT. Very enticing. I always thought it was a good looking car. Even prices on the LHD models have gone way down. How reliable are the TT cars? What are the usual problems that come up? I'll definitely search around on some Z forums.
Thanks!
