are you sure, cuz my iphone just got stolen recently and rogers said tuff luck, i only had it for about a month. they said only thing i could do is buy a new phone or cancel the plan

Google your phone number or put it into the search box on craigslist and see what comes up. If an ad shows up on CL email the perp and tell him you want to buy it. You really need one, will buy it tonight for asking price. If he's holding it for someone offer more to get it right away. Then show up and either claim it as the guy who he took it from (and tell his parents to teach their kid some morals) or b.) send the cops, who will do the same thing but half as efficiently.

hey falcon, not to be rude or anything, but how about you **** off from my thread? I didn't come here to be hassled about which carrier I chose to sign up with or to be criticized about phone security from a skyline enthusiast website.. I blatantly stated in my first post that I was just looking for some information about clearing the phone.

You guys wont believe this, but I got it back tonight! I posted a stolen add on used victoria and long story short, some one saw the add, check out said phone they were suspicious of, and hey hey, it's in my hands! The phone is in my possession, but the screen is now scratched in 4 places, the sim card tray has been bent to hell in the attempt to get it out of the phone, and the headphone jack has chips of plastic missing. I am tempted to press charges, but the person who stole is like 13... I'm considering just calling up his dad (the person who contacted me about the phone in the first place) and just filling him in on the condition of the phone, the hassle this has been for me, and that I need a new phone, and that I should be pressing charges regardless if he is 13 or 31. This phone is a pretty big deal to me..
Maybe he will offer to buy me a new iphone to keep me from talking to the police? What do you guys think?

Wootang, the little bugger stole your phone and damaged the hell out of it. I'd be asking that dad to make his kid pay for it (or work off the debt via his family, while his dad pays you for a new one). Usually a threat of a charge would work. Glad to hear you got it back! Hope all is well on it?
