When Rabbit proclaimed in the other thread that Steve could have been the one to mess up downtown, he was merely foreshadowing this winter.
Steve you say you bought the car as a cheap winter beater? You could have bought a beat up old Civic for half the price; spent half the money on gas; spent half the money on insurance; worked on the car yourself (have you looked under the hood of that car?); had FWD for winter (which is a big time bonus in snow. RWD FTL) and much more.
But you're right; the added coolness of a RHD Nissan that looks fast outweighs all the cons of your terrible decision.
I agree a car should be driven and enjoyed. I agree it should not be put on a pedestal and left as an ornament. However I disagree in risking your safety (I know, shocked myself as well) and the safety of others for some odd need to feel spiritually connected with what your car would really want should it have feelings.
